Woz

quoting from a post on Pinside:

wow......that voice for Glenda... yikes......I have heard "the journey is the reward" quote and the "follow the yellow brick road" quote too many times now after watching the last two videos once; there is something unsettling about her voice.

i'm looking forward to seeing it in the flesh, played by someone decent, at a steep angle in a well-lit room but with the sound turned down a bit. i'll certainly put five nuggets in it as soon as i get the chance, and hopefully it'll turn out to be a great game.

i love pinball, i really want the next Stern to be brilliant as well; just wish there were still arcades i could go to in London to actually play some of these new games - for anything released in the last five years, i think i've played em all a maximum of five times each but many none at all just cos i've never even seen them.

This is one of those games I'd really like to have a go on but really wouldn't want to own myself.....just need someone to bring there's along to a show when they get it

Latest video by Martin Ayub. Little bit more programming done by Keith and you get to see a multiball sequence. Lights and a lot of other stuff still to be coded properly though

Rules so far:

- There are three button rollovers, each of which adds letters to the the Tin Man, Lion and Scarecrow. Spell out all three to light lock on the ramp. Lock three balls to start multiball

- Knock the Winkie drop target down three times and it stays down, allowing the centre top VUK to send the ball to the Witch's Castle mini-playfield.

- If you complete both standups in the pop bumper area, that enables the magnet at the top above the rollover lanes. The magnet holds the ball while the winged monkey grabs it and flies it up to the Witch's Castle.

- When lock isn't lit, every second shot to the ramp goes to the Munchkinland mini-playfield which is harder to loop than it looks.

I take it you have not seen the factory walk through yet then ?

My god there sure is some stuff in there, all ready for the assembly line once it starts up.

It will be soon if its not already. Phil at PH was telling me about it, Jack had sent it to him to watch.

Operators dream! Full size switch matrix on the big screen, spade connectors and molex connectors on every connection

(start at 7:15 of video)

That factory doesn't look to busy.
I would have thought is would have been mad busy getting those WOZ's built and out the door.
I think you will be real lucky to see one this side of Christmas.
D.

I dont fret it, Ive waited over a year, another 6 months makes no odds to me.

I suspect those few machines are the ones due out on location in the next couple of weeks

Well its nice and clean, I will give him that.
Its that a picture taken at night or are they out on dinner break.
Seriously its good to see them on the production line.

No, I went to £100.

Jack kindly offered to sign me one himself though so it's in the post as we speak :bounce:

Here's a good example of how the RGB GI can create different moods in different modes in the game.

This is obviously the dark and scary side!

The happy rainbow munchkin side! (That terrible sticker is being replaced by a white picket fence)

Those are clear windows on the plastic btw. One of the bonuses of having all RGB LEDs

Video taken yesterday. Hard to get a judge on much atm as there are very few rules coded in. I don't get the people saying how slow it looks btw? Sure, you can boost the back legs up and increase the coil strength but much faster and it will be a 30second game

Yeah,at least the yellow brick road lights are yellow now! You get to see the game over animation when the presenter loses his ball too

The presenter is ace, we need to import him. I love the bit at 1:20 where he asks the guy what he does for a living, the guy says "I make maths books" and the presenter goes silent for a couple of seconds and just nods knowingly to himself.

Can't knock the detail and if the plays as good as she looks then its a winner. Just one problem the music, as soon as "we're off to see the wizard" starts thats when I would have to either play it without the sound or wear headphones.
