Today I worked on......

‘Today I worked on’ my Rotation VIII.

It’s had a fault where the machine would reset, it only happened when the playfield was rotating clockwise.

I decided to was time to change a couple of the electrolytic capacitors, what always amazes me is the size of new capacitors compared to the old, the two on the left 10,000uf 100v, the two on the right 20,000uf, the original35V the new 40v

Very happy to say no more resets now and happiness is restored.

A video below of playfield rotation on a 4 player game.

Was having people over Saturday eve, so thought it a good time to fit Collywobbles' luminous looking plastic protectors - to my AFMr LE ; colour looks really nice and really suits the game.
Also gave a game a good wax and clean and also believe I managed to sort out the VUK eject issue - seems to come out in one shot every time now.
Had about 14 people playing a kind of ping golf game (all non pinball people) and everyone was loving it - must be one of the best games ever for both newbies and pinheads.
Despite that, still have my eye on a Rick'n'Morty to replace it in the future (and thrn likely regret it 🫠 )

I've owned this King of Diamonds pinball machine for approx 4 years, but it has been tombstoned for most of that time. I was starting to wonder if I would ever be able to get around to repairing it since I had never worked on an EM before. However, I managed to repair it and now it's fully functional and plays great. This weekend, I'm hosting a league meet and it will be a good opportunity to test it out. There are still some smaller jobs to complete, but I am putting this down as a win.

@Doug this particular machine may look familiar.

Looks amazing. I'd love another MM one day.

I sold MM, CV, AFM, TOTAN, IJ etc without a seconds thought back in the day. Never thought there would come a point where I was looking at 5 figures and a scavenger hunt to buy one back!

External volume controls fitted to my pins today.
These don’t work on UK Sam pins unless….

GOOD NEWS!!

Anyone buying an external volume control you can fit them to UK SAM pins (with some very easy soldering!)
Simply pull the cable out of the male connector, strip the black, red & green wires back. Fit the volume control & solder the wires directly to the tabs under the menu buttons.
Red to Vol Down button
Green to Vol Up button
Black to any of the common tabs (that have a black wire on them)
All works perfectly!

Just installed these from Collywobbles on my Stern Jurassic Park.
I prefer Plastic Protectors installed on the playfield to add a bit of protection, and I think it improves the playfield's look by adding a bit more light and colour. I went with Yellow. As always, fast delivery and excellent quality.
Now, let's see if I can break a billion points. It's a challenging game, but it's so addictive, and there are some fantastic shots.

I just installed a Pin2DMD on my World Cup Soccer, and the difference is impressive. The colours are vibrant, and the animations are so much better in colour. The pictures don't do it justice; it looks fantastic.
It's so DMD is so clear; the colours are vibrant and really pops.

Big thanks to Andrew @Terranigma (I bought it from him) for a great product, great price, fast delivery, and support with the installation.

If it were up to me, I wouldn’t have gone for this subtle ‘dinosaur skin’ powder-coating effect on our JP2 as I’m not subtle. @MadMonzer is, however, subtle, and we jointly own the pinball machines.

I just installed Stumblor's "Godzilla Subway MOD." I think it looks absolutely amazing, and pictures really don't do it justice. The design seamlessly fits in with the playfield aesthetics, making it look like it was originally part of the machine.
Kudos to @stumblor for another fantastic creation! I can't wait until Tokyo Neon #4 is released!

I'm just hoping that Stumblor will make some modifications for JP2. :-)
