Today I worked on......

Many thanks to @Wayne J for printing the stand/platform👍🏻
Just need to figure out a secure way of fixing to the machine now; any ideas? (The platform is hollow; looks like I'll need to fill it with something so it's flat underneath. Could then secure with command strips so not leave and permanant marks on the game)

Also got round to fixing a temporary UV light to the cab to light my posters (only one is on the wall; was just testing to see if it would light both the foil and standard ones I have - wanna get the Dirty Donny Met pinball version to go.next to Ktulu)

@Colywobbles @J.C.Rox - I managed to get a cheap Millennium Falcon from eBay. I think I see how you mounted yours, but what type/gauge wire did you use? I guess it needs to be stiff enough to hold it up, but soft enough to shape?

Sorry missed this, I just used a good old fashioned unbent paperclip! Worked fine!

Ah OK, I did initially think of that but thought it would break when bent into a tight loop.

Just had a play around with one and looks like it will work, thanks! 👍
Sorted 👍. Let's see if it will stay put.

Millennium Falcon on a paper clip is the new Tie Fighter on a spring. Actually, mounting it on a spring may be a better option 🤔.

Was having an issue where the middle inline drop target of the three was dropping without getting hit (often following a bank reset - my guess is vibration from a trough eject prior to ball launch.)
Anyway...have had a replacement set of drops for a while and last night I thought I'd bite the bullet and swap out the drop targets.
Removing the mech was easy (4 screws, 2 connectors), but once I'd removed the springs and e-clips I came across a problem; I couldn't remove the rods to gain access to the front two drops (screw wouldn't turn without the rod(s) turning with them.
Trying to grip the rod with pliers whilst turning the screw wasn't doing it ; still slipped (i need some pliers with rubber grips inside it think.
So at that point I turned to plan B; bending the middle drop trarget a bit so when up, it sits on the mech ledge it bit more securely/isn't so sensitive.
Well, looks like it worked:-)- touch wood, not had the issue reoccurr again yet!

Also, as I'm currently lusting after a Met Remaster, I thought I'd freshen things up a bit by finally getting round to trying out my fake/non Mirrored MOP translight the game - looks much better than I expected!

Then realised I couldn't get the screws into the holes to attach it to the machine, so I extended the supports to get access.

But now you can see the supports  - have worked out that if I lift the body up a bit, the holes will be accessible, so I can move it back again  - job for Monday though. Then it'll need painting; good job I have some failures to practice on. I'll probably look at a way to move that flasher so it illuminates the model from the front.

Spent a bit of time tarting up my Star Wars.

Fixed the Death Star which had become unbolted from the back board, didn't even realise until I took the glass off 🤓

Really glad I took a chance on this one and ignored the naysayers, loving it so far.

Managed to get my powdercoating back for jaws so that went on, also spent the past few days struggling with rusted lamp holders, posts and dodgy hacks on mgow, still lots to do on this but pf is cleaned, rubbered, new posts, all lights are working and it's playing a game. Waiting on bits to redo the powers upper supply next then onto the sound. Crazy amount of bulbs in this game.
