Today I worked on......

£90 all in ?!? crikey thought it would be way more than that. Do they want some more business ? got a jaws and GZ that id do for near that price.

yeah probably not practical to post.

Will have to find someone local. If anyone knows a place near bristol that does a decent job then would be good to know.

Installed the 'Godzilla Sculpted Bridge' by Art of Pinball today. I appreciate the fast delivery, @philpalmer.
I've been eyeing this for a while now! I was a bit hesitant about having to take apart the bridge, but it turned out to be pretty easy to fit in. I'm glad I finally went for it!

And done! (Nearly! Just need to tweak the coin door as it's sticking, and one of the flippers is binding)

Game had been routed when I bought it. I've chucked roughly £500 at it to add on

- Pin2DMD
- Pinblades
- DMD decal
- Powdercoating
- LED GI
- New rubbers
- New balls
- New leg bolts and feet
- New shooter rod

It's not mint by any means, but it's looking much better 😊

First time ive started a mod and actually finished it :D

Made a wheel for JAWS upper spinner. Didnt want to take the plastic off the existing disc in case a future owner might want to put it back, so made a new disc as well.

Onto the Fishing reel next...

I’m such a nerd, I love your videos. Luke I am your father.
Hang on, *Fifty* bridge rectifiers? What the actual fuc_k?

Jesus what a palaver to try to sort out LEFDs that don’t work. Just put new Incandescent bulbs in FFS. Even with the new board the bottom two lights were lit together.

50 Bridge rectifier is like 3-4 months worth for repairs, super common failure on old games, even done a few on Stern SAM games

The bottom LED's being lit together was just the attract mode programming, they are working fine.

Incandescent bulbs were not working as they were too dim when there were multiple lit at once, the transformer was not able to supply enough current and the voltage was dropping. I replaced literally everything in the path from the transformer to the lamps, but the problem was not fixable, it is possible the transformer was damaged from a combination of the shorted bridge rectifier and the massively over-rated car light bulbs that the previous owner had put in that were drawing a couple of amps each, instead of 250ma each

So if the transformer was ok and the correct pinball bulbs were used, incandescent would be perfect?
Well other than the fact that the inserts had gone weird colours and so some of them were lighting up "grey" 🤣

I have a new playfield for as later phase and that has the correct coloured inserts

Metalwork stripped on WH2O to be powedercoated.

The sticky on the side rails was a PITA to remove! I'm not bothering with the coin door this time as it's awkward to dismantle and the hinges don't like powdercoat!

Still undecided on what colour to get. I've seen photos online of dark blue, white and orange and none really suit it (imo). Tempted to go light blue to match the water colour on the cab sides/backbox. There's only really 4 colours to pick from if you want to tie it in to the cab art

The sticky on the side rails gets removed by the powder coaters - worth knowing for next time

A couple pieces for Godzilla Pro tonight:
- Jpinball instruction cards
- Mechagodzilla figure from Pino pinball mods (Trying to make the pro look more premium)
- Finally replaced the plastic that'd been scuffed @Jib!

Also found and mounted the Falcon with advice from Col, thanks man!

Now them’s the kinda mods I like. Cheap as chips I done similar with a £20 millennium Falcon on my SW and it was Uber detailed as much as the LEs
@Colywobbles @J.C.Rox - I managed to get a cheap Millennium Falcon from eBay. I think I see how you mounted yours, but what type/gauge wire did you use? I guess it needs to be stiff enough to hold it up, but soft enough to shape?

I've got some random bits of wire but they are too stiff to shape. I'll need a small loop at both ends.
I use round nose pliers to make the small loops ( you do need a strong hand grip ) or long nose pliers . You can also use a metal work vice .
