I have never played a pin with a shaker motor, is this something people go for on new pins ?
They work really well on the newer games which are coded for it like Tron or Spiderman, but also works quite nicely retrofitted to a flasher output on older games liek AFM or Congo.
Nothing fits a shaker better than Earthshaker. Perfectly intergrated

So does it shake it enough to effect the ball in play or is it just a bit of a vibration feedback sort of thing ? What sort of additional cost are they on a new pin ?
Is this a fitted option from Stern or does Phil have to open the box up to fit them ?

I love it in my tftc they come standard with a shaker, also JP, ghostbusters would have to be opened to get fitted as it does not come from stern as an option fitted, on tftc its pretty fierce and rumbles great it does make the balls move I would suggest having a go on one with a shaker see what you think
Fitting a shaker motor to a new stern is dead easy, four bolts and one connector.
Some machines suit shakers better than others, it all depends on the code.
TWD uses the shaker really well, Metallica far less so. I quite like the one in AFM but wasn't that fussed with MMr. JP uses it better than a lot of machines. In LAH I found it more annoying than anything else
Spike machines are meant to have a problem with non Stern shakers, so if you are buying a NIB it's probably best to get the official one. I've previously picked up 2 from Phil Dixon that I was really happy with

Depends entirely on possible backlogs, prompt filing of documents and payment of charges, and who the agents are.

Being machineless (sold mine for GB Premium deposit) during the wait is absolutely killing me. Premium is still a month or 2 away at least.

Probably worth it, I keep looking at the dead_flip video and it just looks brilliant. Really like the way the pops can kind of swallow the ball sometimes but they're not a direct shot off the flippers. The big flasher in the middle of the buildings is cool too.
The release improved code looks much better it was on a live stream on Facebook a few days back you can watch it on sterns Facebook page, looks awesome!

They should have had normal Slings and the magna slings.

For the odd game on location it might be a novelty but to have it in a home environment I think I would blow a gasket very quickly if this video is a true representation of how these slings will work.
