Stern Ghostbusters

Nice GB multiball video

The one thing I dislike about the modern Stern games is this sort of multiball experience ...where it all seems to be just one big clustf*ck of balls/shots/lights, and you barely notice when (multiple) jackpots are awarded in all the chaos. I'm old skool and like to work *hard* for my Jackpot/Super Jackpot and then be suitably rewarded with some nice feedback :)

Apparently there's a video incoming from stern (don't know if that means today or this week) showing slimer on the premium / LE. Be interesting to see if the arm moves side to side as well as up and down or if "rotating", just means the slimer spins round.

Are there Lots of people on here who ordered a pro and getting it this week? Be cool to see what the first people who get there's think of them Looking forward to some late night gaming with my children and wife. My 1 year old loves pressing the red fire button on the AC/DC. Children and me can't wait, not long!

I have a pro coming, not sure when, are they in the UK yet ?
Does Phil send them straight out or does he have to check each one over first ?

I emailed Phil today and he said they will be going out this week and next week. Properly best to give him a email and see regarding things

Robert I bet your glad you went for pro as that magnetic slingshot seems to look abit weird, but atleast the pro doesn't have that, just a shame it doesn't have the goggle mod, but think it still will be a cool pin to have in your collection.

Just sent Phil a email as want to make sure I am here when it comes and I'm glad I didn't go for one of the others with those silly sling shots :)
But at the end of the day £5.4k is really my top limit on a new pin, I have tried to justify it thinking when I do sell it or trade it in for something else I wont lose a great deal.

After spending 20+ k in R2 isn't a pin small change for u? Lol

R2 cleaned me out for 2 years, he really did suck up every spare bit of cash and now this pinball hobby is pretty much the same, I get a Sopranos, then a T3, order Ghostbusters and now Im trying to get the Elvis from Andrew, these hobbies are killing me :)
My brother is the sensible one, he collects stamps !

Same here, spent a far bit with MB, Luci, Totan and now the ghostbusters coming! I stopped drinking and smoking to save as much as I can on getting my next machine. Most expensive hobbie, but love it, so do the children Good inheritance for them too.

just keep reminding yourself that every pin you buy is *probably* worth the same or more next year, so long as (1) it wasn't a new-in-box, preferably it's at least 5 years old already with its reputation established, and (2) you pay the market price

Though any *potential* profit on yr purchase is quickly wiped out should it require a repair callout, or an expensive board or display calls it a day on you. ;-)

Always keep in mind these things can quickly turn into money pits.

Think that is the same as any hobbie, my son does motorcross and that costs a arm and a leg. Think as long as you change your battery's, cover your machines when not used and look after them they will last for years as they are built for a commercial environment. Also buying anything secondhand to know what your looking for regarding faults and Playfield wear etc. I have learnt the hard way like most people on here with buying a few lemons from people but live and learn.

I'm now starting to save just incase stern do release the rumoured Star Wars pin next year!

Hi scotty sorry I forgot it was you I got the mini pin from for the kids, thanks they love it. Not as good as the real thing but keeps them happy when they have friends round. You any idea what stern will bring out next this year?

Now this I will have to have, we better ask Lee for some inside info with his contacts, but even if he did know he would not be allowed to spill the beans.

Rumours.
Aerosmith
Iron Maiden
Jurassic World
Star Wars
And probably a few others!

I would be very interested in an Aerosmith but wont hold my breath that it will :
1. Have decent art work (cartoons of the band members needed, like Chris's Ramones)
2. Be any good
3. Actually be made.
