New members - say hello right here : )

Paul

Thanks for the warm welcome... It's nice to know that others are in the same boat as me...

Cheers

Noel
Welcome Noel :)

Stripdown and clean up should be fairly straight forward. Feel free to ask away - there are several of us with Addams in varying states of repair ;)

Cheers

I'm using taptalk app to get on here but would like direct access but have no password for this forum. When I ask for password reminder the screen says it's sent but I never get one to my email. Can you pls assist?

Hi, I'm Pete! I'm a life long video game player but that has gradually drawn me towards real-world gaming - aka pinball!

I started with Pinball Dreams way back on the Amiga, then more recently Pinball Arcade on iPad/PC. It's only been in the past couple of years that I've started tracking down tables to play (Medieval Madness outside Waterloo station is a favourite!), reading up on owning and maintaining them, and of course going to shows like South Coast Slam and Pinball Party. Can't wait for my first Northern Lights too!

I'm currently obsessed with picking up a Judge Dredd. I'm a fan of the comics (though still working my way through reading all of them) and have always really enjoyed the table when I played it - two launch ramps, four flippers, no jets (they're iconic but sometimes boring to wait for IMO!), and that super-cool Dead World ball lock. It all just adds up to a really fun machine that I'm determined to squeeze into my flat (thank heavens for the lift)! I also love a good project so not afraid at all to learn about fixing them up and getting my hands dirty (lucky I've got a garage/workshop though).

I realise this is possibly the start of a slippery slope and life-long addiction, but hey, seems like a great community and owning one is the best way to get better at pinball! :)

I also noticed that MurphyFlicker and Deleted_Record are just down the road in Kingston, might have to meet up for a beer or two chaps! Shame none of the pubs around here have a pinball table.

Hi Pete,

Welcome to the group If you are based in Kingston (london) there are plenty of us within close proximity that would welcome you into our homes for few games or meet up at pin venues for a drink. I believe that Greg is heading up to London next week and a bunch of us are meeting up.

JD is a great game, very unique and fast flowing (especially with the virtual lock roms) its funny and has one of the best toppers too.

Happy hunting!

Matt

Cheers all!

If I'm around I'd certainly pop into London for that. Is there a thread for it?

I believe its on Tuesday (tomorrow) @ the Pipeline, Greg will be there from around 3pm but others will arrive after they finish work.

Bloody hell Matt, what you like ?
Like someone that has far too much going on atm! I'm happy to marry Sarah, but all this sorting stuff out is a PITA!! Its the same with moving house, bloody solictors, stamp duty and packing is doing my nut in! Add pinball into the mix and its a miracle i can remember to pull my pants down before going to the toilet!

Pants down is a must before the toilet.
You need a break, it's all come together at once just follow the light at the end of the tunnel.
You'll get there buddy.:)

Welcome! If you enjoy playing that MM at Hole In The Wall outside Waterloo you're in for a real treat if you head to The Pipeline (or just about anywhere else for
that matter) as it's got to be one of the worst maintained tables in the UK! Last time I had a look it was so bad I didn't even bother playing it as I could see straight away it was going to be sh*t. A great game needlessly rotting away in a dingy corner...

Judge Dread is definitely a good choice. Highly rated by many on here and if you like the 2000AD franchise it's got a killer theme. Having Judge Anderson on the backglass is reason enough to own it ;)

So what sort of video games are you into? Lots of folks on here with arcade games too - as evidenced by the near 50/50 selection of pins and cabs at this years South Coast Slam last weekend in Worthing. What a great weekend that was!

The MM was... playable when I last tried it, I've definitely had a go on better examples though! I've been to the last Slam and Pinball Party, a small tournament at Pipeline, and looking forward to adding Northern Lights to the list this year.

As for video games, most of them. :) PC, console, arcade, shooters, RPG, action... Might get myself a MAME cab one day too but I'd need a bigger home first!

Hey everyone, I'm Ben, living in colchester, Essex.

Was luckily enough to get hold of a data east Star Wars but not powering up.

So taking on a challenge for my first pinball machine lol

Going to be posting in the tech section for some ideas.

Fingers crossed - if not then I may sell to a knowledgable member

Hello Ben, welcome to the forum. I like a man who jumps straight in with a broken project, hopefully the helpful folks will give you some suggestions and you will be playing soon.

Hey everybody -- I'm really enjoying my new hobby and have been loving my new Starship Troopers Pinball table!

Are there any meet ups/Tournies in London or Essex coming soon? I need my pinball fix!

Not yet -- but you were right, I already want a second one!

every day I check the forums/ebay!

if anybody has a:

Back to the Future,
Lethal Weapon 3,
Jurassic Park,
Judge Dread,
