New members - say hello right here : )

Hello! Missed this thread. Have trawled through and read most on here now , should've known about this place sooner seeing as it's uk based.

Don't have a real game (no money, no room). I've been relying on the shows at Daventry for the last 2-3 years for my fix, thanks to all who ship their games there to be played.

I make a lot of tables on pc , original designs & recreations (currently using Unit3D Pinball). Long term goal now is to convert my own from this, either run from a PI or P-roc.

Cheers!

Hi Dave, the stuff on PC sounds cool - you should put up a post with a few screen shots showing us what you've done :-)

Hey everyone, I'm Ben, living in colchester, Essex.

Was luckily enough to get hold of a data east Star Wars but not powering up.

So taking on a challenge for my first pinball machine lol

Going to be posting in the tech section for some ideas.

Fingers crossed - if not then I may sell to a knowledgable member

How are you getting on with this?

Hey everybody, I will be heading over to the Pipeline later tonight (around 6:45pm) for a fizzy pop or two, and to check out the pinball machines there before I head home to Essex.

Feel free to join me!

(I'll be the one wearing ridiculous red nikes!)

Hi ya Matti,

The next London Pinball League meet is on June 7th at the Pipeline. If you are feeling brave, my stag do is the night before and will begin and end there too (Addams will probably be my bed!!)

Hey Matt, my holiday got rebooked so I can be there (hurrah!) on Sunday -- do I need to reserve a place?

I remember when I first said that, way back in a pub in the early nineties.
What a rush, well it was better than the beer.

I rem playing one in a pub in the 90's the only one I've ever seen in the wild such a rush getting "powerball" and seeing it drain within seconds

I played all the tables at the Pipeline except the football one (I'd run out of pounds - and I took quite a few with me) and they were all in great condition and played great. TZ has a really nice feel to it, it would be great to get some alone time with it and really be able to hear the sounds and see the lights.

I loved the way Flintstones has the ball loop beneath the flippers on the two ramp shots - made me really have to pay attention to which way the ball was going the first few times it happened, esp on multiball.

AC/DC is just a delight!

Adams familys.... have to admit, I wasn't impressed...

Either way, my addiction is growing....

Couldn't agree more with you have said. The pipeline is great! I try to get down there once a month at least.

AC/DC is the best table they have IMO

I haven't played the Adams family there yet but had my first go of one a few weeks ago in a pub at kings cross. It was ok but didn't really see what the hype was about. I find it a bitty game that constantly stops and makes you wait. There is no real flow to it.

You need to play a good example Addams and appreciate what a great game it truely is.
There are some bad ones out there which don't do the game justice. Play a "Peachy" one and enjoy to your hearts content.

Yeah, great game, classic but.....longevity is too short for me on that. I like to see them more at shows because everyone is drawn to it and leaves other games free. Was a good idea sticking it next to Dracula at Slam. :) She was free all day!

TAF deserves it's status. There may be better games out there now but it was a real game changer. Mine would be the last out the door if I had to sell up

Just signed up to the forums, have got Strange Science, but it has to go, unfortunately.
Based in St Albans, Herts and been playing for 35 years - since I needed a stool to see the table.

Nowadays, The Pipeline by Liverpool St, gives me my Flipper Fix.

Hello familiar face from Jamma+ ;)

Hello everyone. My names Byron and I'm from Derby, recently got back from a weeks holiday in sunny skegvagas where I've developed a bit of an addiction to pinball. Had a choice of 10 tables over the week all close to where I was staying. Lookin to buy my own machine as a bit of a project. I work with electronics so think I could handle most repares. Been looking at the hook machine on eBay that someone on here is selling. Would have been an ideal first machine I'm thinking.
