New members - say hello right here : )

Hello! I've been a member since February 2013 but only just recently started using pinballinfo.

I'm a newcomer to pinball too (I do remember a few games here and there from my childhood) as I'm from the video arcade and home computer generation of the mid-80s. I've got an Astro Fighter cocktail cabinet video game.

My first, and currently only pinball machine, is the project 1978 Bally Paragon that was listed for sale on this site. So far I've totally rebuilt the power supply and resurrected the non-functional MPU from the grave of battery corrosion! I'm currently part way through restoring the backbox whilst I decide what to do with the playfield which is very badly worn.

Lots and lots and lots of photographs (hundreds of close-ups for references) of the progress posted on my Flickr account. You'll also find lots of photos from the 2013 UK Pinball Party (this is me playing F-14 Tomcat) and my recent trip to the Flippermuseum Schwerin in Germany. Hopefully I'll find the time to create a Shop Log of the restoration on here.

Welcome Luke (octamus) and Peter (Nedreud). :D Already seen your Flippermuseum Schwerin photos from the yahoo group, they're a really excellent set and it looks a great place to visit.

Talking of visiting places and a shameless plug now:
I hope you'll be able to make the Festive Gathering at Special When Lit in Salisbury in a little over 6 weekend's time (6th, 7th and 8th December).

Yep, that's me and my sister. I accidentally got her into pinball too! She was on a holiday tour across the US and when I heard she was headed to Seattle I made a stupid suggestion that she go visit the Seattle Pinball Museum. My sister, being my sister, likes to stray from the beaten path so she took up my suggestion and headed down to Chinatown...

I was gutted, but very happy, when she sent me pics of her playing not one, but two, Gottlieb BLACK HOLES! BH is my absolute favourite Holy Grail pin-of-pins. I'll get one eventually... one day... As for my sister, she fell in love with... are you ready for this? You might want to sit down...

NBA Fastbreak

And she's bloody good at it too 'cos she gave me a total whoopin' at the Flippermusuem

Now then.

I think I'm probably an old member, who never really transferred from Yahoo group, but has not got sufficiently cheesed off with Yahoo Neo. I'm guessing I may be in good company.

Anyhoo. Evening chaps.

Stuart.

Hi guys,

New to forum and thought I'd say hello. Met some guys at recent Manchester Expo and they told me about this forum. So looking forward to meeting more of you.

Welcome Stuart, You'll find this site a lot easier to use/post/read/follow than 'over there'!

Yeh, Welcome back Stuart.
Thought you had left the pinball click for good with not hearing from you in so long. And with you not seeing you at any of the Northern League meets.

I bought your NGG many moons ago. Have you still got machines ? Last time we spoke you did have a "William's Fire"

Hi guys, just joined the site. Jon from Nottingham. Currently own an Addams and Getaway would love to own more but no room!. Been into pinball for years but only recently had the chance to own them.

hello gang just joined after a few complications with email but anyway i have to look after 4 70's pinball machines one of which needs attention called queens castle, but first of all thanks for letting me join up and a great forum it is too :)

Hi Retroman.

So, Launceston - I'm in Yelverton, 20 miles away. I like EMs, had some limited experience fixing them too. PM me if you need a hand with anything.

I have a very decent Bally Hi-Deal and a very rubbish Bally The Wiggler. What are your other 3 pins in addition to the Queen's Castle?
