hi all my name is paul and i come from manchester, stumbled across this forum after agreeing to look at my brothers pinball machine,he has no clue about anything and i have no clue about pinball machines lol,,,,hi all

Hi Paul and welcome to the forum.
Good to see another from the North West on here.
Give a heads up to what problems you have with the machine as there are plenty of knowageable people on here that can give you some pointers. Hopefully enough to get it fixed. if not there are loads of people near by to help if you can't fix it yourself.

Welcome to the forum John.
There are a few on here that also go onto the Mecca.
I'm good friends with Stu from Atherton. I also love the 80's fruits but they don;t come close to the pinball's.

hi everyone classic gambler here from cornwall, hows it going. anyway i am an engineer for dingles fairground heritage centre in devon i mainly deal with the old fruit machines but we also have four pinball machines too one of them is currently out of order but i think the manager has said that a part has been taken out for a refurb but. i have signed up here to learn a bit more about the older pinball machines :)

but we also have four pinball machines too...

Hi Classic Gambler

Good news! I'm near Dingles Fairground Heritage and will certainly come over and play some games - I love EM's. What have you got? The Dingles web site doesn't give much detail.

I own 2 EMs and am slowly learning to fix them up and keep them running. I am no expert, about 8 months experience, but if you want a second pair of eyes on a broken pin then I'm nearby, retired (plenty of time) and enthusiastic.

Message me if interested in meeting over at Dingles.

John

Hi Matt....welcome aboard. That Gilligans looks great ! ....and thats something I have never found myself saying before :D

Hi guy, thanks very much for the feedback on my games. My Lucky Fruit and Gilligans are keepers for sure. Lots of time and cash invested.

Hi All - thought I'd introduce myself after joining to support GrizZ's charity event (Go sponsor him now!). I'm based in Basingstoke and have been into Vintage Consoles for a good few years (Atari 2600 especially). Got into Arcade games about 12 months ago when I picked up a Boot Hill (and various others since then) but don't <currently> own any pins (although I do have a rather funky Cosmic Gunfight backglass). Always had a soft spot for Bride of Pinbot (They had one in the SU Bar in Southampton years ago) and obviously anything with a Western theme automatically gets a thumbs up and immediate impulse purchase
Anyway, all the best!
Mart

Are you going to Replay Expo in Manchester in a couple of weeks? Loads of vintage consoles, computers, arcades and of course the Northern Lights Pinball show...over 100 pins to play :)

Unfortunately I couldn't make Replay this year :( but I am going to Eurogamer tomorrow which has a pinball/retro section.

Hmmm after some strange can't post, see big pictures, contact admin period I can now say Hi!

So Hi!

I am Paul, I'm more of a lurker than a fanatical poster, and after several years of reading the yahoo group I've decided to check what's what on this forum. I live in the pinball wastelands of East Anglia, I say that as no one ever sold any machines round here when I was looking to buy! So now I need to sell a couple perhaps that'll help me! Unfortunately I am currently unemployed and need to release some assets so I will be letting go of at least one of my five machines. Or it could be just a ruse to make space for a new doer-upper as that is the part of pinball I like best.

Hi Paul - Welcome !

Mark Squires lives in Swavesey and has a nice selection of games, and of course organises the Swavesey Pinball event every year. So not quite a pinball wasteland. I used to live in Cambridge in the early 90s and as with everywhere else there were quite a few pins in the city pubs. None now tho :(
