hello people,
been here a month or two.
my name is shaun.
i have had loads of arcade machines over the years but never a pinball,
i've changed that by buying a TAF.
i'm having a couple of issues with it after changing the bulbs for led's,like some of the lights now don't work.
i'm sure you will be hearing from me in the tech section soon. :)

Welcome :-) And did you try putting the LEDs in the other way around, I think polarity matters on some of them.

Welcome Shaun :)
TAF is good to practise, You can learn a lot playing this machine.
Keep Collecting and play more Pinball!

Hey Lucas, I think we met at Matt's last Surrey Pinball League meet. You were good, blew my chance of a top ten finish. ;)

Shaun, my first pin was a TAF and I played it without getting bored for ages. Still my favourite table. There are a lot of us here who know it well so you will get loads of advice.

Good advice - had to do this on both my machines.

I changed the bulbs for LEDs with the machines in test mode (Test mode, option 9 - all lamps) so you can see if they need reversing immediately. Just be very careful in there with the power on, but with the your experience on arcade machines this goes without saying...

Hi Everyone My name is Lucas.

no it's not! welcome Lukasz, you don't need to Anglicise your name for us here. when i saw you get 11B on Matt Vince's AFM, followed by about 65M on FH, i knew i was watching a future top 5 UK player. you will be there in the finals along with Martin, Greg, Nick, Stan, Peter and Craig before too long, or i'll eat my hat. and i haven't even got a hat.

Welcome Gary - is that above just polished or chromed and polished???

Also, how much would that sort of thing cost (for the top lockdown bar only??)

Hi paul the items are just polished, as for a price on the top lockdown would be £20.00 Regards Gaz

Good price :) I can get stuff done cheaper (Mine cost £5 with a similar finish), however compared to most out there it's a good price :)

£5 pound that is cheap but I don't think the finish would be the same .cheers gaz

To be fair I asked for it not to be too mirror shined as I did still want it to match the grainy sidebars still, however It's done by a professional Metal platers/polishers in Birmingham who have been in operation for over 55 years..... however as I said - Very useful for some on here :)

Hi everyone,
I just found this great site/resource for UK pin heads and had to sign up.
My name is Jamie and I live on Jersey which makes things a little bit more difficult when you're in the hobby.
I currently have a WWF Royal Rumble a Spider Man and a Pirates of the Caribbean.
The latter two were on location until I bought them about a year ago and I have loved them ever since.
I have fixed minor bits on all of my machines but I have decided to cut my teeth shopping the Spider Man once the house renovation is done (priorities).
I would of course appreciate any help when I do inevitably ask any questions, just be gentle ;)
Cheers
