New members - say hello right here : )

Hi all my name is Gary and I live in Nottingham, i've been drawn to this site as i had a guy come to see me at my unit who wanted some pinball parts polishing and he advised me to look on pinball sites as there might be other people looking for the sort of work i do, below is the couple of items i polished for him please check my website www.gbartonmetalpolishing.co.uk and feel free to contact me . cheers Gary barton

Hi Gary, lovely finish on those parts, I'll be in touch!

hello everyone , my name is Lee , i live in Billingham , North east England, used to play pins years ago in the pubs cafes etc, wanted one for ages , anyway i got a HMM about 6 month ago. Not very good machine but it got me into the basics of fixing and stripping down, basics of it all . Then for my Birthday i PX that for a FT , Half the conservatory gone and wife not happy , then Christmas came and i found a stored TAF and talked my wife into buying me that for Chrimbo - told her it would go in the garage to be revamped ! got it home and straight into the conservatory it went - Jackpot , she was not happy . Anyway i,m like a kid in a sweet shop and i found out what conservatories are useful for ( keeping my pins in ) . i work away so i can,t wait to get home and play, fix, mess about with the 2 pins
Got some thin Stainless steel sheet at work and my plan is to make some bling covers for the transformers and what ever else i can bling up - keep you all informed
Lee

Just throw a sheet over them when not in use. There is a company in the states which makes proper covers too.

hi Lee,

you're only an hour North of me, I'll happily store them for you :)

...that is once i find a suitable place to put mine...

AFM's in the utility room, not ideal but a good compromise as it's a bit tatty. TZ looks good and is in the Dining room!!!!! I have no idea how the hell i'm getting away with that, except that she plays it more than i do and got a reasonable 480million the other day, a far cry from the initial 30millions scores she was getting a few months ago. For those who don't know TZ well (doubtful on here); that's achievable by doing 1 skillshot on each of your 3 balls and absolutely nothing else.

Once i've refurbed AFM i'm hoping she might let it back in the house...

To make matters worse i'm actively looking for the next machine...

Hi Gary, where about's in Nottingham are you based....I'm in Beeston :)

Welcome to the forum Jamie.

Gary Welcome to the forum.

Hopefully you will take parts sent via the post and mail back once done and paid for ?
Good fair price for that quality of polishing.

Hi All

nice looking site and joined as I helped a member here (Snux) with some decals so wanted to check out his progress. So no lurking just straight into it.

I am an Aussie and love the pins, currently own a CFTBL and Surf Champ and have owned a Harlem Globetrotters, Skateball, WH20, Baywatch and Ironman.

In edition not sure if I can post things for sale but I also make the AC/DC bell covers - Plains, Hells Bell and Luci's Bell etc.

Once I work out the site I can post up some free files as well Illustrator art for DMD backbox warning (90's era) and also mirror blade design files for Bally/WMS and Stern.

Cheers

Jady

Hi Everyone,
Been lurking for a few weeks but thought I should say hello.

Got introduced to pinball through MM on Pinball Arcade, then found a TZ in the wild and was hooked :)

Here's my story ( It feels like an AA meet!)
Won a HS2 on ebay a few months ago for £910 and couldn't wait. The day before pickup it fell through due to the supercharger breaking. I was gutted.
Met Matt briefly in the Pipeline when he was installing Fish Tales and he recommended I come on here to avoid the ebay types :)

Good to see so many people who have a pinball addiction far worse than mine!

Cheers
Pete

Welcome aboard Pete ! Have you got another game lined up yet ?
Im on constant surveillance of here and ebay....but was asleep when the £800 baywatch came and went!

Have tried to talk myself into a few, namely the roadshow on here and demo man / dirty harry on ebay but haven't committed yet.
