so @Tilt_Birmingham gets a drilling for an advert to sell t-shirts yet @James spams the forum every other post with his snakeoil?
hmm.
Neil.
hmm.
Neil.
so if you pay the forum donation you can basically post ****e everywhere?
You can just imagine McCrae and Sadler in their school days sat at the back of the class causing havoc
I usually ended up getting sent home for upsetting the catholics by asking the nuns and teachers why god allowed the Ethiopians to starve or I was busy hacking the school computer systems. I once made a worm that changed all the zoom profiles of all the computers on the network so the magnification ratio was set 32x making the computers all useless. You can just imagine McCrae and Sadler in their school days sat at the back of the class causing havoc
Okay - honest options of GnR after visiting @Tilt_Birmingham to do my evening of service work.
1 - the game is TOO COMPLICATED rule set for a rubbish player like me. I think it is more fun to watch in a lot of respects. I can understand why a lot of people on here would love it who are SERIOUS players.
2 - Integration is wonderful. Lighting amazing.
3 - I had a lot of fun on my short 4 minute games
4 - Quite heavy on the multiball front. Did I say the lighting was amazing??
5 - You definitely wont finish this game.
6 - Outlanes are massive on both sides, and the gap between the flippers seems big as well.
7 - Wish some of the sound effects would be better - lots of the same sounds copied over from other JJP games and they can sound 'fruit machine' like.
If you are interested in one, then I would urge you to go and pay a visit. I would buy one used in 18 months if one comes up. Then I'd have to lock myself in a room for 2 years and learn how to play better.
NOW - my technical opinions on this playfield stuff..... Further to the video on YouTube..... Here is my take on that (and the other posts).
Photo 1: The JJP post (bottom) and shallow T nut (worse than the ones stern use which is saying something) compared to a Bally Williams post:
View attachment 140376Can you see the difference. Only a couple or 3mm go into the T nut.
See next photo of how much is in the T nut (keeping in mind how shallow the T nut is on the above pic):

NEXT - the NEW POST with a plastic washer on the top and a metal washer before the nyloc nut:

So as a repairer with over 20 years experience, I would be fitting the older bally/williams style posts.
I will report on this in the weeks to come.
Those posts are not up to the job, even Stern ones are better! Short posts in shallow T Nuts are not as solid as a nyloc nut on the other side of the wood. You do not need a degree in engineering to work that one out.not sure that helps all the other areas where pooling and chipping will happen. I don't think this will make much difference.
much appreciated thanksThose posts are not up to the job, even Stern ones are better! Short posts in shallow T Nuts are not as solid as a nyloc nut on the other side of the wood. You do not need a degree in engineering to work that one out.
We all know that JJP designed the wrong artwork for this game (they had not learnt from previous mistakes) - Mirco only does what he is told. But then again. Mirco did not torque bolts up too tight!
The machine will get hammered in Tilt, so if it is still good in a month - I will tell the group. Equally I will say if this has problems.
At the end of the day, we will see. I think it will stop pooling around posts if this is carried out around those parts. Around scoops I would be looking for protection.
I have done this for an experiment, it is no use saying 'I think this is boll*cks', it is worth a go 100% - I am doing this for the owners of GnR.
That would make you.... 29?? I'm not buying that Neil.......or I was busy hacking the school computer systems. I once made a worm that changed all the zoom profiles of all the computers on the network so the magnification ratio was set 32x making the computers all useless.

I didn’t say it was ******** but I don’t know how changing a post at the top end of the game will stop pooling and chipping on the screws that attach the ball guides. which is what I did say. Those posts are not up to the job, even Stern ones are better! No zoom on the screen magnification profiles! That would make you.... 29?? I'm not buying that Neil....
...or are we talking a different type of Zoom here???

Cool@Sako-TRG Phil Palmer has ordered PETG washers from pinball life, he may also get in the longer posts as well.
I’ve got a few WMS posts spare that I’m going to try.
