JJP GNR Pinball

Forgot to say love the built in Scorbit and the bluetooth connection to use headphone is smooth and great for a bar environment where you want to hear the game!

Wish Stern would follow suit on both those fronts...

LOL - lets see your on the fly flips from the right side of the playfield then Brick master Kirk!

I agree on the scorbit and bluetooth - very cool. Able to stream the sound from the game via bluetooth to my stream.

Its not a terrible game but not great, if JJP fix the playfield issue I'd get another more so because I like the music but to say that this game has loads of flow is just nuts, maybe I'm terrible at pinball :D

Neil.

Why does every opinion have to be so polarising?

Asking how widespread the issues with playfield isn't divisive or defending JJP. People generally only post about problems. So it's a fair question to ask how big an issue it is.
Knowing that 50% have issues (2 out of 4) isn't great, but it's hardly a massive sample size.

Having played the Pro (or whatever JJP variant is called) at Electric Circus.
I found that it flowed from either flipper, left ramp and loop where as easy to as the right ramp and loop.

The rules I understood were so so with lots of potential but a little mb heavy for my liking.

The skillshot plunge is great. The feed from the plunge is ****.

The lighrshow and sound is by far the best I have seen.

I'll wait and see if the price drops enough to make it more reasonable to buy 2nd hand as I wouldn't want to take the risk of manufacturing issues not being resolved with a NIB purchase.

Basically my personal review both agrees and disagrees with a number of people, often the same person, but I don't feel the need to call anybody out about their personal opinion, no matter how much I think they're wrong.

Well off to do my servicing at @Tilt_Birmingham tomorrow evening and I am looking forward to having a blast on this.
However I am sick of reading about it.
All manufacturers have issues. Even massive brands like apple/Samsung. But it’s the way they treat the customers that counts.

I’m curious on how these plastic covered Haggis playfields will actually feel like to play.
Personally I think a lot of new playfields have way too much clear coat on them anyway.

It does shock me that a stern monopoly I recently sold had a virtually mint playfield - I am unsure how modern pins will look in 20 years but let’s face it. The manufacturers don’t care about long term.

The ball is in JJPs court. Is this what happens when new workers put together a game. I know @Neil McRae has said his posts were done up extremely tight. Maybe these unskilled workers can’t set a torque setting right. But then again. Should that get past QC.

Well tomorrow. I will give me awful players opinion on the game. Hope to be blown away by the experience.
