Has the bubble burst.........

I’m surprised the GZ prem hasn’t sold at £10250. Maybe everyone already has one!
I'm not I'm guessing so many have been sold in the UK (although amounts low in relative terms) The demand if the price is at a premium is normally because the supply and availability is low . you can still buy them new, if you have nearly £10.5k to spend another £1.5k is doable. Personally I think most of the new available sterns premiums second hand should be between 8.5k and £9.5k, except for the like of Elvira which is pretty difficult to get. Personally because the licence for Godzilla is probably not a major issue, unlike bond, I can see stern churning these out for a long time 😀🤭

Not so sure on how many premiums are around. I would love a Godzilla Pro but opted not to buy a NIB one, as I think there are many around and won't be hard to find in the 2nd hand market.

Great game. Probably a realistic price but it’s above the 10k barrier. How many of us would have a honest conversation with our families about spunking more than 10 grand on a second hand toy?

However you cut it that’s a huge chunk of cash. I’m still trying to get my head around any DMD games no longer being under 2.5k. I suspect I’m far from the only one who has simply stopped buying and selling games. There’s no fun in potentially getting stuck with a 6k turd of a game.

Inflation is a total ****er. Saw a band recently flogging gig T-Shirts for £60 😱

Me neither - it's totally normal (when not in a global pandemic!) for a used thing to lose a big percentage of its value as soon as it leaves the showroom. So the more it cost in the first place, the more it loses on day 1. Sellers with machines sat unsold just haven't quite got their heads around the fact that this is the reality now we are clear of covid.

Nothing feels better then having a 10k toy in the garage then telling your partner she can’t have those £100 shoes at they are too expensive and we can’t afford them :D
Lol, whilst I have £5k sunk into the ones I've got, the argument is why would you want one for double what it cost for you to have three. (granted, ones in bits and one is awaiting transport 200 miles away).

Seriously, £100 on shoes!!! That's what the factory shop is for, you can get 5 pairs for that, sorted for the next decade! ;)

Honest conversation with family about the price of pinball ?

Seriously though I think we have all at times justified buying a pin because we know chances are it holds it’s value ( obvs diff when talking NIB) So you aren’t really spending the money , just transferring it into an asset .
If that changes I’m sure it will make many think twice . I’m sure the market will settle again - to pre covid prices ?? Higher, lower, who knows 😁

I haven’t bought/sold for almost 2 years now . At times I do think I’d happily sell them all …. Thats prob my 20 years in pinball mojo struggling tbh and also just can’t be bothered 😂 Maybe I should have a cash and carry open day - come on down , play what’s here, make offer and take it away 😁 that’s an idea

AFAIK, I don't believe a post covid Stern LE has yet to come up for sale on this site. That will be the the ultimate test of the value of a premium of the same title. I'd agree with the above, a Bond LE could soon show the largest drop in percentage value of any pin in ten years or more.

The sure fire way to answer that question is to take a look at how many pins are listed on eBay. Then type the name of the pin you're interested in. Click filter, tab down to 'sold items' and see how many results come back? Probably zero.

If they are selling, then the deals are being done outside of eBay and not at the eBay listed price.

Depends on what you define as ‘post’ COVID, but there has been at least three Mandalorian LEs for sale, mine included.

Has the first pin bubble (Covid) bust? I'd say so but sellers on eBay think otherwise.
Has the second (bigger cost of living crisis and banking crisis) burst? Not yet but I think it'll happen this year.

Will it make any difference to me anyway? Not me as I've not over paid for anything, I only have so much space and I can't see pins falling to prices from 20 years ago. Others won't be so lucky.
While there are titles I'd love I'm happy with what I own. I probably will be selling trading 1 or 2 on here though this year as I'm over capacity by 1 machine really.

Post December 2021 as far as the Government is concerned.

I wouldn't count Mando as it was the last game to escape the price hikes.
