Has the bubble burst.........

Undoubtedly this is the case but in essence makes zero sense in reality.
Taking Bond, as an example, its not as if Joe Public is unaware of the source material or any great secrets are going to be revealed, this material has been out there for years. What do those who have control of the IPR think a company like Stern are going to with the assets, a photoshopped Bond dressed as Elvis riding a unicorn? Corporate ass hats. Ir would be more in their interest to release some info and get momentum built up before the release
Makes complete sense if you're the IPR owner though - the last thing you want is some idiot damaging your brand, and the brand is the most important thing. That damage could be through inappropriate use of the image, incorrect colour, incorrect fonts, image repro quality, anything. The IPR owner isn't responsible for maximising revenue from the licence... it's the company who is buying the brand rights that should be working to maximise the sales as it's in their interests having paid a premium to licence it. When we have used licences it's a slow process getting sign off and until you get that final sign off you can't do diddly with the product.

Okay. Other companies manage this all the time. You sign the contract, design marketing/branding assets for the product, and agree a release schedule to build up hype. Not sure why Stern are so bad at that. Seriously, multimedia consumer marketing strategies aren’t my speciality and even *I* can see where they’re going wrong here.

To be honest, much as they’ve been criticised, American Pinball have managed to do better with fewer resources. Everyone was talking about their pin, even if - unfortunately - it was thinking the gameplay must be rubbish because none of the previews showed it.

I didn't see the GTF stream but this guy did..maybe AP shot themselves in the foot?

Hmmmm, Cary Hardy seems to be losing the plot lately !

Or maybe he was p!!$£d at AP for not giving him the reveal to do, he was all over the tank arriving at TPF with David Fix.

the IPR isn’t just owned by the corps tho - listen to what Eric shared on Marlon Brando and what he would accept and not accept. Also - Just look at thunderbirds and IR who ate all the pies. amazingly this was approved by ITV

I’ve played GTF and I don’t get what Cary is going on about. is it perfect - no - but it’s a great fun game. also they have delayed build to address one or two issues that came up during the TPF show.

And as I say to folks who have been robbed by car dealers or finance companies - if you are happy with the deal and the car you have then what you paid doesn’t really matter. If you got the game you wanted who cares but you what you paid for it.

BUY BUY BUY! THE BUBBLE IS ALIVE!
