Garden pinball house?

Got the electrics being fitted sat, using 2 top wall fans oil filled radiator plus adding to top wall vents will see how that goes
All fitted in managed to fit 11 pins and 2jamma cabs could have squeezed the 12th pin in if I staggered the back wall, but would have been tight, ill update pics tommor when I finish tidying

What size (current) have you got into there then??!!!
Sorry just realised you ment electric current me being a plank! I had a new fuse board fitted then a super thick cable added to the summer house fuse board running 2 strip lights 3 double plugs, ill check out the current spec with my electrician, he did an awesome job and was less than half price of my other quotes!

Scott, have you checked the total amps available on the supply against demand when all machines are switched on with coils firing etc. (like in multiball)?

I've just had to run a new 3-core 10mm armoured cable, 41 metres from house consumer unit to outbuilding location, just so there's enough current for up to 14 pins on at once plus heating and lighting. The 4mm armoured already going there (to old shed) apparently wasn't enough....

Pics look great BTW.

Sounds like your lecky knows what he's doing. Theres a lot of factors that affect cable sizing, installation method, is it run under insulation, ambiant temp, voltage drop, disconnection times etc. Worse case you can end up with huge cables, better not to skimp.

Was doing some calculations yesterday for using 4mm 3 Core XLPE/SWA BASEC Approved Armoured Cable running around 30m - you get around 9.13v voltage drop, and it will carry max 32A.... 6mm will carry Max 39A... 10mm will carry 56A!!

Thats close to the max allowable volt drop and do we really want to risk the voltage running a bit low? 10mm may be overkill low.

I thought my 4mm armoured would be OK but 'told' with each pin taking up to 5 or 7A max (latter at switch on and multiball coil firing) it would only suffice reliably without tripping out for 5 or 6 pins with heating and/or lighting, plus 40 metres distance... Surprised myself tbh. This came from Mark of NLP who is a qualified sparky. Running a new 10mm armoured under floorboards and concrete has not been an easy job but didn't want to take chances.... I've used the old 4mm armoured for a separate shed and summerhouse feed.

BTW the 10mm 3-core armoured was £3 a metre from CEF inc VAT.

really?? Thats a good price.... I was looking at 4mm for £1.60/m or 6mm for £2.07/m from here : http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/251568001236

Yes, CEF (City Electrical Factors) cheapest I could find where I could pick up locally. They quoted that over phone but tried to charge a little more on pickup until I told them the phone quote I got, which they'd logged and could recall.

Just got a 10 way populated consumer unit too from Screwfix for £60.
