Ebay Auctions 2014

Sat outside in a splash of sunshine probably helps a lot. Looks lovely and bright and colourful. Better than most dingy, blurry shots in the back a damp garage under the light of single 40W bulb! The red paint is very vivid for being over 40 years old, so I'd be very surprised if it's original. The red on my '79 Paragon is so pale and pink it's almost transparent!

Really !? I'd have said at least £2,500, likely more to the right person. You have to play this a fair bit to get into it. I think its very original and a great game personally. Will be interesting to see what it goes to if the auction lasts....

JMP wins the Champion Pub Meat Raffle! Well, close enough, went for 2250 in the end. http://r.ebay.com/jCllN6

dr who is a great game very under rated
i had a early version before with Moving dalek, not a aftermarket gizmo, the real deal!!!
also was this game build before the official date 2 months before

very good flow game but a lot of people only have eyes for top 10 pinn's

I'm a Dr.Who fan but I've never been taken by the visuals of the pinball machine. Not particularly taken by the backglass, but the overall colour is just wrong. Dr. Who has never looked like that overall. Having said that this looks like a very tidy example with some nicely done extras (if powder coated lockdown bars are your thing).

But this is eBay. Who knows what's behind that final value? Somebody guaranteeing it's theirs with a huge bid but then haggling when it's cash on collection time? Strange stuff goes on all the time. Maybe it's been bought by a Dr Who convention as a show piece and have no idea as to the general community value?

Last year I sold an R/C model helicopter - it was still brand new in the box and I was only asking about half the list price on a Buy-It-Now. I got a message from a guy asking if I'd split out the radio-control gear, but before I had chance to reply and say "No" he'd clicked Buy-It-Now just a few minutes later. I contacted him to say thanks for his purchase, assuming he'd decided it was a bargain after all (it was!) But he said he didn't want the whole thing, just the control gear, and that I needed to do a partial refund! I politely refused but the ruddy hoo-ha I had with eBay was a real headache...

That's Jim (mypinballs on the forum)

Well he should know better than to say the cab is unfaded when the front clearly is  Sides look good . It is a nice looking one but it is not 'unfaded'.

This is the photo on ebay of the front ..........

And below is a photo from ipdb of an unfaded front panel. Notice the reds .

Since the highest ever recorded price on ebay has is....£1,370...

Why is this one 'worth' 1k more? It's nice, but is it the nicest Dr Who ever?

Or (as usual) is it just another ebay chancer / twat.

Saw this post this morning and surprised that nobody has pulled you up on it yet, not about the price/what it's worth, but calling the seller a "twat". Unless you have a beef with somebody then it is totally out of order unless of course the seller happens to be the Blackpool mafia, the Hove family, or the Essex family and then "twat" is possibly a word that could be loosely used but calling an ebay seller that you don't know a "twat" is totally irresponsible and even more so as the seller is a member of this forum. Don't want to start world war 3 but think before you type/criticize might be helpful!!!

I agree Steve c I happen to know the gent who's game it is,if that's the price he wants then that's what he wants for it,but he is also a good friend of mine and of others here so mr abaxas calling him a twat is out of order and I'm sure has offended more than just me on here.........mr abaxas put brain in gear before mouth .

There has been worse said.

I just assumed that since it was at almost 2x the price any Dr Who had gone for the seller might be a bit of an ebay twat. Still none the wiser on that, other than he's a member of this forum. Which doesn't meant he cant also be a twat :P

But in better news, it's a word that gets past the censor!

Is it now bad form to complain about anything? Have the twats finally won?

It would appear that you assume a lot and learn nothing as you are still calling him a "twat"

Users on here tend to have opinions about things but you just appear to want "complain", your words so I would say that you are the "twat" who is always "complaining", picking fault with everybody and anything/everything.

You are probably a nice person but just a "twat" when you get on the forum.

If you carry on as you have been doing then the "twats" or twat has won.

No, I'm asking if he's an ebay twat. I have no beef with him, just was surprised at the price, so put the seller in the eBay chancer/twat catagory. Just like it was with operators in the day.

So far the only info back on this is...

He's me mate
He's on the forum.
Pinball table is slightly mis-described.
