And as for £900 being a lot - it really depends on your perspective I guess.

If you don't have stacks of cash to be throwing in at once then this could be a nice way to eventually end up with a nice looking IJ. At least now the buyer can slowly but surely buy the bits they need to get it 'minty'. ;)

But yeah, I didn't even consider it because I figured all told you'd be looking at 'investing' a good £3k-£3.5k to get it nice. As we've said before though it's sometimes OK to spend a lot on a table so long as you're not interested in making the return back on it or if you're just planning on keeping hold of it. Luke's said many times before he's invested more in his R&B than he'll ever get back for it and i'm much the same with mine.

I agree. If someone happy to do the work, and take a bit of a punt on the boards doesn't seem that bad. Good luck even getting a dog of a working IJ for much under 2K.

The parts needed for this do add up but they are not astronomical and importantly they are available. The faded artwork is purely cosmetic - you *dont* have to spend further hundreds to enjoy looking at some reds and yellows if you dont want to.

Not on eBay, but didn't seem worth starting a new thread for this. TNG in need of some love over at JammaPlus. 1500 might be slightly steep given the work it needs, but I'll let others with more experience give their opinions on that! I was briefly tempted but decided it's a bit too much to take on for a first pin. :)

Edit: Oh, wait, same as this bugger on eBay. Nothing to see here, move along.

Will someone please tell the seller of the Dr Who (251531008924) for nearly £3k that his fully functioning machine has a dmd fault?

who is it we are talking about here?

this shirteeclothing guy in Ipswich? (new one on me, i don't think this is the bloke that picked up the free playfield and sold it on ebay, is it?)
mannyman71 in brighton? (Manny, known to many. does good work but costs a lot and some don't get on with him. i like him ok)
or devon020305 in Hove? (Tobin, son of NickNastus. most famous for the TOM with severed earth braid, rusty balls and multiple faults)

I dunno the guy in Ipswich but it's not the guy who got the free playfield and sold it. He's was from Essex. Happy slapper or something like that.
