Its just not good form to bad mouth anyone you've not met or had dealings with over a public forum. Is it? or am I too old and out of touch?

He can advertise it for what ever he likes. Its his to do so.
If it sell or not is another matter.

I don't have Beef with anyone on here. I prefer to eat my steak alone.

Very nice looking JD here http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/11135672769 -, shame it's in a building site.... Hopefully no dust in it! Looks in very good condition with eagle too!

Don't... tempt... me. :) I asked the seller if the cab art and eagle topper were original, apparently so. Pretty uncommon for the red not to have faded isn't it? Bet that sells for a good few hundred more than the grand it's on ATM.

I'll let the other chaps chime in on Harley Davidson, but you can get a preview of the music/art/rules by playing the Pinball Arcade version on iPad/PC/consoles - ball physics won't be the same as the real thing of course but better than nothing!

Buy it! I've got some spares... :) yep, very rare for the red not to have bleached out - getting Pinball Arcade as we speak. Thnx

Hopefully no dust in it? 90% of machines do!

There's house dust, and then there's plaster/brick/masonry dust. I know which I'd be happier to have in my machine! :p I'll keep an eye on it, although I'm locked out of my eBay account right now - their servers are getting pounded after that recent password hack.

There has been worse said.

I just assumed that since it was at almost 2x the price any Dr Who had gone for the seller might be a bit of an ebay twat. Still none the wiser on that, other than he's a member of this forum. Which doesn't meant he cant also be a twat :p

But in better news, it's a word that gets past the censor!

Is it now bad form to complain about anything? Have the twats finally won?

I met you at RGP's last retroparty, and you seemed like a normal decent person to me then...

... but on here you seem to be spiralling out of control

I do actually have problems myself, which might cause me to sometimes accidentally come across as offensive when I don't mean to, as I can struggle with some social situations, so I have learnt to try not to judge other people, as they might also have issues similar to myself.

You however actually seem to be going out of your way at the moment to be deliberately abrasive and offensive to some people.

I would advise you to stop and think before posting in future, or you are going to end up very unpopular

Maybe I find the 'you can never criticize a members machine if it's for sale' mantra equally offensive. I asked the question, is this for real, is it really worth that much or is the seller a chancer. The answer to none of these questions is 'he is on this forum'.

My view is that pinball info is a collection of people with a common interest, with every member being equally important. Not being able to criticize, discuss or in any way comment other than being positive is in direct competition with this. Any community should be equally for the buyer as for the seller.

Cup of tea and a custard cream anyone? I think Abaxas raises an interesting point, if the ebay seller is not a member then feel free to tear the listing apart but if they are one of us then it's best to stay reserved, I'm staying nothing :D

Calling someone a twat is not critiquing them, it is being rude. Doing that on a public forum about someone you may know shows how you didn't review the impact of your rudeness. This has moved past price because of that.
There are few rules on this forum but it will descend into a mess if people think they have a right to be thoughtless.

I'm struggling to see where I've called him a twat?

Can someone quote the bit where I have.

Abaxas...i believe you did call the person that.

However...i agree with the point of why should we not be allowed to question something (price, condition etc) whether they are a member of this website or not. Do we really want a 'them and us' mentality?

Rather than continue to drag this out, why not just apologise and move on. Like others have said, offering your opinion on a machines worthiness is certainly welcome.

You're also welcome to offer your opinion on whether someone is a twat or not, but you have to expect that others, particular those (myself included) that know this person as being a reputable member, will strongly disagree and call you out on it.

In either case, calling someone a twat for (in your opinion) selling an overpriced machine is a bit much.

Do you want a spade to help you with that hole? Looks like you cocked-up to me, not realising the seller was on here and had already advertised it here. Twat calling and now taking a hard line, being defensive just annoys people here that are good friends of Jim, simple as.

Would have thought an 'oops' emoticon, holding your hand up or making a joke of it maybe would have been a better approach tbh.

If you meant to have a go, ignore everything I've said, you're just being a nob. ;)

I take offence at someone being called a nob lol
