Cactus Canyon remake chat

Mine jumps about when I hit bad guys on the play field, like gun fight and quick draw. Pretty sure he does when I hit a Bart.
And he does when you do shootout on the top.

Thanks mate
I thought mine should do more , he only moves his arms and also just noticed that the flashers under him don’t flash like the video I just watched
gonna have a look when I get out of the cinema

Mine doesn’t do a lot lol
He does move his arms in shoot out but doesn’t recoil??? Can’t see any tests in the menus either
You know how crap I am , so it’s probably something easy 😂

Question cowboys !

When is the bad guy on the topper supposed to recoil? I thought it would be once you hit the correct target in showdown?? Mine just moves his arms up but when you shoot him he doesn’t recoil I am pretty sure something isn’t right or maybe it’s in a different part of the game
Any advice appreciated bandeleros

Will
It will be a fuse it will say in the manual which fuse it is

Are you saying that the Bart Coil in the test function doesn’t activate him?
The issue with showing this is the switch is only activated when pressed and the two door switches stop solenoids. So I can’t film it working with one hand.

Second up from the bottom. 4A mini fuse.
Manual says it is F118 but that doesn’t work with the board numbering but I think there is an issue with that. (Top is labelled F115 and bottom is F117, so I guess the order is F115, F116, F118, F117).

Only if the ball was on its slowest possible trajectory, would the mod impact it as it is fast spinning and doesn’t block the angle.
So no, I don’t think it has made a significant difference.

Do you think any of the new code will be playable without the hardware upgrades? Given the history of getting the machines over here, the new spinner etc might take a while to arrive. Might be an option to get them in the us and ship over depending on availability.

The messaging has been that this is a code and hardware change. From what we are seeing, this is supported.
But hardware doesn’t have to be a kit delivered from CGC. It could be hardware we can get made up locally.

I seem to be missing l
Lighting Adj
Coils Adj
Extended Rules Adj.

Is this just me? @Calimori

Found it!

Inductive sensor control board. Noted fault on pinside and method of how to solve it, though mine will not go away after the required fixes so it needs a new sensor cable and circuitboard. For now have strapped cable up to stop it moving

Had first legit game just now, in weeks
Looks like mine has started doing the same thing ffs. How did you strap yours up and can you link me to the fixes on pinside? Thanks.

Assume Phil has sorted you a new sensor cable and board?

No, I just sorted it myself.

Photo attached though even after a new sensor was shipped to me the actual fault ( which I suspected anyways ) was the inductive control board itself - Which! has just arrived today and was fitting it as you asked. However my initial method did cure the problem also.

The fix on pinside is to spread out the pins so they make better contact when inserting the plug onto them

I have been sent several mine entrance inductive sensors BS:8 J17 SENC8 if you like I can send you one over?

@myPinballs - would you be able to shed any light on this? The pins on the board seem fine and secure yet when a sensor is attached the board acts as if you are unplugging and plugging it back in again very quickly and you get the shooting tins rewards rapidly, all out of sync to the game. Only way to stop it was to secure the sensor cable 180 degree to the board as in first photo

Not had any issues on my le game.

I’d be checking the pin crimps on the wire cabling

Sure, i checked those - Had same issue with replacement sensor and lead
Infact the replacement sensor was worse.
Now i fitted the new board i’m using the original sensor and cable and no issues

Thanks , is it just the J17 Senc 8 cable connection responsible here or several of the connectors? I also suspected the board with it being random fault to different feature lanes.

So you contacted CGC and got the replacement board yourself shipped directly?
