X Men - and apparently people like it. (and me too now :))

I'm really hoping they use that Cerebro rail lock as a multiball lock, haven't seen that yet in all the play videos I've seen.

It is very fast and the shot return paths are unusual so it takes a few games to get used to where the ball is going to be coming from next!

Sound and animations are really good for launch code, Danger room is pretty good, though a nightmare if you don't play controlled in MB. Fun so far.

0.84 code downloading at Stern's usual snail's pace. They really need to sort their net code/servers out!

You ship yours airfreight also?

Here's what I don't get.

Wasn't Uncanny X-men based off the comic from the 60's?

Even the cartoon was the 90's. So why was the music based off the 80's?!

I am not familiar with Uncanny X-men really so I am not sure on the era.

The machine is based off the story line Days of Future Past from 1981 its highly regarded as one of the best marvel comics ever!

Ooooh it's starting to look good.

I can see more music, animations are updated (Juggernaut, cel shading), additional extra bits.

We have Uncanny X-Men LE on our stand at the MCM Comic Con this weekend at the Excel centre if anyone wants to play it (along with 14 other games)

Do you know anywhere/anyone else who’s going to have one? Funland doesn’t seem to have got one yet.

Also popped in funland for quick few games of x-men today.
LE powder coat looks very nice and pretty good overall, but did feel for a £15k(?) game Stern could do better than the usual crappy plastics with a little bit of art at the back and the £5 wolverine figure.
Gameplay wise, I liked it; bashtoy felt satisfying, as did the shots in general.
In two minds about the danger room. It felt like more of a nuisance at first, and staying alive with that flipper wasn't fun. Having said that, when a multiball was going, it was really fun keeping a ball going in that area at the same time. I also initially liked the ball being held above the left flipper; hopefully stern will come up with some cool uses/situations for that with code updates.
Not sure if latest code was on there, but the animations seemed pretty poor overal (with a few half decent bits in there, which were maybe a step up from Infinity Quest).
No doubt I'd've enjoyed it more if I knew what I was doing, but did feel like what it is; a game on very(?) Early code.
Did want to play more though and some of the shots/paths/wire forms are very nice.
Can't see why some people were ***zing their pants over it though; just another marvel pinball game really, with great potential (I Guess if you'd ordered a £15k game, you are gonna convince yourself it's the best thing ever, and for those people, I hope it does turn out to be a classic)
Sentinel is cool though and I bet it turns out to be a great game with code updates.
One thing which really stood out though; the music was horrendous! Sounded like really limp dance/club(?) music made by an amature. If that's Charlie Benante's work, he should stick to playing drums with Anthrax/Pantera tribute band 😪

Seems like a few of have been over recent days, I went Thursday 7th, never been to Funland and I thought it was good value at £10 for an hours play. So every time I have a meeting in London I will go now as its only 10 minutes from Euston station.

Enjoyed Uncanny, I would never buy and LE so it makes doing a review a but trickier as you are almost bound to enjoy playing a game with the extras bit on it.

Crazy ball paths, I had no clue where it was going but that just made it fun.
Danger room I liked, as it was easy enough to get out of.
Sentinel toy is a winner for me.
Its colourful and interesting
Floating ball was clever although a bit pointless except for catching your breath.
The rail behind the flippers just melted my head to be fair

I would like to try a Pro as I can see me owning one of these (used) in the future.

The one in Funland hasn’t been updated by sounds of it.

Can’t wait to get the pro for Tilt but 100% will be on the look out for an LE to pop up in a couple years. It’s fast and unforgiving so some people will move them on

I think the code will be epic for his. Jack did an excellent job on foo fighters so I have high hopes for his team on this one
