This has turned into an excellent thread. I get so many buying ideas from here so keep it up fellas, all the widgets and gizmos and thingumijigs you find or have made for you or track down. I might go through the whole 17 pages later while drunk and buy a load more stuff. Then sell it on when I realise I already did the same before. Twice.

Ah, it's a fine hobby so it is, so it is

so for example i remembered that this easy automatic wire stripper arrived the other week - check it out here

it says it's designed for wire of thickness 0.2 - 3mm but i think i managed to cut thicker than that. the price? £1.47 plus 39p delivery from China, it took a couple of weeks and i assumed it'd turn out to be a piece of utter crap, but nope, this thing is wicked and i'm well impressed - check my little video i just made:

For my virtual pinball table consisting of a 39" screen as the playfield, a 27" as the backbox and a dmd as the dmd

It's used to drive the dmd from a PC via the USB port. I'm using it with pinmame to display the tables dmd on the dmd rather than the second monitor.

When I say I'm using it I mean I've tested it and it works but I haven't actually built it all into a table yet. Now that I have all the parts I should actually start building it soon...

I'll have one of those... Will save my teeth which now have a gap in them after too many years of wire stripping!

£1.49 delivered :)
Or you can have the "heavier duty" option... £1.89 shipped from the uk allegedly[/QUOTE]

so i got ripped off for 37p? why i outta.....
actually Chris' £15 amazon one is the sort of thing i was originally looking for, but this T-Rex design one is just the ticket. i'd probably invest in a better tool if i used it every day, but i only use it every couple of weeks. still, at £1.89 i might try that one too and give my second best one away.

I know of field engineers that have used these for 10+ years with no problems at all. saying that, I'm not sure if they were made of plastic or metal, not if they originated from China!

The cheaper ones will not last but the CK ones that Chris recommend are a cracking tool and will give many years of faultless use.

image.jpg Finally got my grubby mits on the guns and roses I have been after for ever... Mark Squires finally let me buy it off him... Super happy to have my own guns now, as the last one I had was @robotgreg 's one years ago and remember being very put out that he had the audacity to ask £1350 for it hahahaha ;)
Also managed to get it in last night and also managed to **** the cab as well not bad for having it for 20 minutes...
This was the game I sold that minty AFM to get..

Today's pick up

And that completes the big four :)

But of course, got a lovely plot lined up for it ;)

Not Pinball related, but felt I had to share with you all as I was marshalling that day @ Oulton Park, Carfest North. Was a sad day but he was doing what he loved. RIP Jester.

I've moved the backglass to safety upstairs for now :D The game should clean up really nicely and the plan is to try and get it done in time for NLP but I've got a few other projects on so we'll see how that goes. Only need a Centaur now and I've got my perfect 4 game 81 Bally collection

Sweeeeet, that looks really nice dude :)
I was so torn between that and flash .

Not seen it yet though , Matt is gonna re stencil it for me and get it looking sweet.. Gotta say I am really looking forward to flash , never spent any time on one before
