Also check it’s had the correct work done to swap it from 110 to 240, a lot of issues can arise if it’s not done properly.

Yes you're right - it isn't "desired" and it doesn't command a high price. I guess the theme just doesn't resonate with people.
But I love mine: it's a cracking game to play, and it does get respect from some serious players too.
For info I paid £3K (with colour DMD) at the peak price point in Covid.
Jim mypinballs does a US to UK/EURO conversion PCB for Stern SAM/Spike 1/2 but it says it also needs mods to the driver board on SAM.
The WPT game is a hard one to value. What changes the value more. The fact it’s basically unplayed or the lack of love for it?
Originally I thought people were lowballing the value considering how little use it’s had but I guess if bought new it was only about 3k in the first place so maybe he’d be happy just getting his cash back.

Changing the translite for something / *anything* better doubles it’s value

Players condition Spiderman. What do we think of £3795. Play Leisure have one for sale on FB. No close ups of playfield so can't really see the condition.

I have one in similar condition in terms of cabinet and some wear by the doc ock magnet.
However, my Spidey has mirror blades, Pin2DMD, shaker motor, Comet Led Kit as well as a doc ock with illuminated arms.
I was intending on listing the machine in the near future at this price point fwiw.

Hope I’m on the right page. I’ve been playing ACDC on a VP and have taken a fancy to the game. Checking on ipdb there’s god knows how many versions! I’d like all the bells and whistles inc lower pf. Which is the best/second best model, ie not a Pro, how much do I need to pay, how often do they come up for sale?
AC/DC Prem or LE has the lower playfield. You're looking at £6-6.5k for a decent Premium

Yes, saw that. Only a Pro so a little basic. Also a £5k start is probably optimistic judging by stuff that’s sold on here previously.

Looks like he's got the swinging Bell mod too, in which case it is pretty tidy. That puts it on a par with the Pro Vault.
I'm not defending the £5K asking price, just saying it's quite a nice pin. I've got a Pro Vault and I much prefer it over the Premium.

Wouldn’t disagree but i think I’m looking for more ‘toys’ and that would probably include a lower pf. It seems there were a confusing amount of editions released but something with a lower playfield would have most of the animated stuff too?
By far most people prefer the Premium and yes, it has a lot more stuff. I think it's 9 extra things. That combined with the original Pro artwork - a hideous face slap in the middle of the playfield - and the herd turned against the pro.
It's never recovered. When I was buying a NIB Pro Vault lots of people told me I was being stupid. And in terms of getting my money back I probably was.
But the fact is I'm part of a small minority who think the simpler Pro plays a better game....
It does, however, sound as though you need the full monty!

In my opinion you can do without the lower pf but absolutely need the swinging bell!

That’s a great revue and helps put the ducks in order. Totally agree about the pig ugly image on the Pro. Something more aesthetically pleasing would be better. Finally what’s a good middle of the road AC/DC machine that combines goodies/price and potential availability as I may well put a want ad up. Thanks again
For all that I said about me liking the Pro - I think you need a Premium. What I can't say is what the price should be. The market is wobbly.

Mine was powder coated with shooter rod and side art low plays drew £5850 I think

It's an early Stern, not as popular as the space themed ones, and certainly more popular in USA (especially the pro-shooting lot!). Not many folk know who Ted Nugent is over here.
