hello Cooldan. thank you for the info and the website. I didn't find that one :). As for that date I will try to make it, but unfortunately coincided with my wife's birthday, which I had a few things planned. Although I will make contact or even try for a quick pass if possible.

one of the first sites I found and called all locations. None of them have pins anymore. 2 pubs told me it had gone out of fashion and the one in Hastings is all about those stupid slot machines. Not a pin table in sight. The owner of one location told me they would break down to much for him to keep them.

As per the wife. She is closed minded about this new spark in my life. I need time, tenderness and a light from heaven shining down on her and a "Darth Vader like voice" saying "Build a shed and the Flippers will come"

so,....yeah easy and steady, I will bring her to the Pin Side :-)
 
Welcome MEM, I am not too far from you at West Malling, if you want to have a go on some pins no problem,

any chance you can be a good fellow and update those locations on pinformer please?
that is the only way these sites can work, if someone updated it before you called, it woulda saved your time - now you can save someone else's wasted journey. just click on pinball removed, and it will turn red and after a period of time - used to be 30 days - the site disappears

I wouldn't trust any listing/update on there older than 6 months.

I had already updated 2 sites when I first started. I wasn't sure how it worked, but thanks for the info. I will update the rest shortly.

I've updated the ones I know now, but I can't seem to find that link to remove them. I just update the comment area for now and put my name as well for indication.

You can't ask for better advice than that! This forum is full of tops lads all willing to help each other out, welcome and my advice it to buy a movie related pin that your missus will recognise so it's not so alien to her. Avoid ebay if possible and just ask on here if you see one that takes your fancy, if you don't like it it can be swapped or sold on here and go again!!

GOT IT!!! thank you. I wasn't aware of how many I actually called. Sad to say, there is a lot of red now on that map. It seems to be the same argument by some of the owners. "they break down too much" or "There is not enough interest" . :-(

Not necessarily a noob, but it's been a while since I did anything pinball related. I tend to get totally p**ed off with it when thiings don't go my way (in terms of repairs and restoration), walk away for 6 months, then i suddenly get the urge to tinker and then I'm back. You could call me a binge pinballer.

I'm Mark, 22, Student from Stoke

Currently own zero pins, waiting for my parents to have an extension done so i can put a pinball machine in there naturally.
Due to space and money constrictions, Indiana Jones and TZ are the two pins i'd love to own, if i won the lottery id get medevil madness, the hobbit, etc.

Interested to learn why you chose those games - you would've been about 1 when they were released! (i was only 13).

I just traded my TZ & already want another one.

Unfortunately, i haven't had as much of an experience playing pinball as id like. But of all the times, those two machines are when pinball really struck a chord with me, especially TZ.

I remember a hotel in Blackpool when i was younger with a TZ in the lounge and a hidden away arcade in a Brighton chalet site with a Ripleys, star trek and IJ.

I'v just got my fingers crossed i'll have enough room for it and i can find one for a good price when i know i have a place to put it.

I should be attending the Pinball party in south wales later this year too

Hi mark - Stoke falls in the midlands region of the UK Pinball league (and you're probably in reach of some northern meets too) - you should come along. We have a meet this Sunday which looks to be one of the furthest away for you (in East Markham) but the next one after that is in Shepshed on 12th July. Drop me a message if you would like more info.
