JJP GNR Pinball

@Sako-TRG - Hadfields deliver off pallet. Will wheel it into any ground floor location you want. Saying this. I’ve only ever had Stern machines.

The company we used from Italy to UK, Alien arrived on a pallet still. The guy took it off the pallet, put it on a sack barrow, wheeled it into pinshed and took pallet.

I’ll just take a month off work @Neil McRae [emoji23] not quite sure of your logic on that one, as still wouldn’t know what day it could turn up

Ah I didn’t realise that you had to schedule a day off a month before - holy moly! But you can tell Hadfields to deliver at a later time if it’s not convenient.

Neil.

I do wonder what the washers achieve. Bearing in mind i am an idiot, but the point of a post is to wrap a rubber or out some playfield thing on. You’re “dispersing” the impact from the ball over the point it touches the playfield. A washer will disperse it over a wider area, but like the original. It won’t be uniform. If the ball hits it face one. It pushes the force to the back no? Over time it is going to compress silicone or push a washer or anything in that direction. I just don’t see there being a cure for this, apart from what Stern have done. Where they took the artwork away from the posts and the clear seems to have stuck. Jury is still out on pinball brothers who have said they’ve solved the issue for them. I’ve got dimpling but no posts issues I have to say. So people (Stern for sure) seem to have solved this. Have Spooky?

This guy said the PETG were useless.
The Titan + Mylar did a useful coverup job - if nothing else. Maybe he should have gotten the black ones.

That’s what I predicted would happen based on my TNA.

The washers are a cover up and not a solution.

Anyone taken you up on your offer @daveyp!?

Well it’s a genuine offer last year I sold over £21k of machines to fund a new build I was doing so needed the money.

And now it’s generating money so now in a position if anyone is interested or would rather wait till later in the year for the next run.

I’m happy to take my chances how often my games get played little chance of playfield damage.

Dave.

Ref Hadfields, I've only had them deliver once with a WOZ when it came out but have since moved to a farm with a rather long ,uneven, downhill track.

For those people that have them regularly, what size trucks do they use and how accomodating are they ?
I may need to decant it at the top and take it down myself.
That said removal trucks got down , but only just.

Thanks

Julian

It's a shame reading about these issues; had G'n'r in mind as my grail pin to work up to some day (that or my long time dream of a MET premium/MOP) - looks like it'll be a MET then!

It's a real shame for sure. Opening up and playing a brand new Pin should be one of the happiest days of your Pinball life but these recent issues are taking some of the excitement and joy out of that.

Hadfields really depends on the driver and the day they have had LOL. They have pretty much been really good for me.

I've had one guy who basically dumped the game at the bottom of the drive and I had to wheel it up to the shed, that's fine but his attitude whilst doing it was shocking.

All other engagements have been very good and they all take the game right up to my shed and put it in the shed.

Emailed Phil yesterday.. ship is delayed- will be here next week- then 1 week to get it sorted and so week after that is what he said.

which sucks as I went with first email sent out for payment request. Said it would land first week of June.. so I booked 2 weeks of from yesterday to make sure I was available and could start the process of stripping playfield to add washers, Cliffy etc 😟
