JJP GNR Pinball

lol, no. I'd charge your a premium but throw in a ticket to ride. If Beatles was priced at 5.5K the 80 odd that electrocoin have in stock would be gone.

80 in stock and no fire sale yet?! Can't believe that - what are they expecting, a rush on them in a decade?

Apparently they did something similar with WWE but before my time.

Been watching the streams and I have to say - code wise this ain’t looking too hot. I hope they add some more depth to it and reduce the multi balls.

It's pretty clear from the streams which one out of this and AIQ that I would prefer to play. That's not to say that GNR won't be a masterpiece eventually, but my god average game times on this are going to be.......long. I'm sure that after having a game on GNR I would be hankering for multiball perfection on CFTBL or FT, something where you really feel like you've earned your stripes.

No denying it's beauty though, Jersey Jack most definitely have raised the bar.

Totally agree, I love multiball as we all do but they just seem to kick in at no time at all and it's just multiball after multiball so the code needs to improve. Call outs are lame ass aswell no emotion at all just really flat.

For once, I have watched load of videos of other people playing (when I could have actually been playing one of my own machines) and to me this looks great fun. Not every game needs to be an epic adventure because most time’s I play, it won’t be.
So if this delivers a good fun game then great, if it also has some depth then awesome.
But I haven’t put a deposit down yet, I am trying to work out do I sell some of my stuff to fund it and if I do, do I rush because LE’s might get sold out or be fatalistic and wait until bonus time in the new year??

Code will develop over time. Even I will admit The Hobbit is now better than the initial utter **** fest that was issued.

it’s in JJPs interest to ensure code/rules are great. If I compare TWD now compared to initial code then good code absolutely saved the game.

However, if anyone buys a LE and dislikes the code I’ll give you 6k for the game secondhand 😉

I agree. It looks a tiny bit lacking in the code department. No doubt it'll evolve over time though and the art, sound, lights etc are all stunning. Maybe a little style over substance at this stage?

I wonder how many LEs have sold and at what rate.
5k likely to sell out this year?

Would be interesting to know the numbers of each recent released pinball machine sold, I would think none have sold anywhere near 5k units.

5000 LE’s by end of year.. no way!

I reckon all 500 CE’s (obviously) and around 300 LE’s so far..

I went on to a G&R fan forum to see what they were saying..
A few have bought an LE, But most moaning about how expensive they are, and how G&R haven’t released any new music.. but Slash has gone and done a few new Instrumentals for the Pinball.. ****ing over the fans..

The LE is getting positive feedback because the lithographs.
Some
Moaning about the cross on the CE being wrong size..

Need some help!
Where am I going to put G&R.. Trying to shoehorn games in at the minute..

Puzzle - Cabin is 6mX4m.. take off insulation so it’s more like 5.30m x 3.7m

I have 5 Stern games down 1 side- they fit because they are 71cm wide

Anyone any ideas as to how I could squeeze G&R in somewhere..

How about taking the money you save on an LE over a CE and investing it in a 2m extension to your cabin ?

I’m purposefully not watching the streams all pins look quite boring when streamed I in fact manage about 15mins of stern reveals due to how boring they are.

The worst part of Sterns reveal is when some idiot removes the glass and throws balls around WTactualF is that all about is it because it’s almost impossible to hit them?AIQ looked amazing but having two of the worlds best players geting a dozen loops whenever they feel like may be very impressive but not realistic to expect us mere mortals to manage a double loop.

I’ve said this may times I prefer a table I can start a mode and hit the shot required and GnfR looks perfect for my style and skill. Listening to full length studio masters of their songs while playing for me personally is the big bonus and the add a balls & multiballs are probably there to prolong the songs but hey it’s not finished code JJP will do updates after feedback I’m sure.

Above all else it’s only when you get a pin in your home environment when the magic happens and Like I said at the start I want to experience all this magic for myself when it arrives only then can anyone truly judge a pin.

I must add I’m also looking forward to my R&M arriving for the very same reasons and will be traveling a long way to play AIQ as that’s on my radar too.

BTW it’s getting worse over The water as the owners thread on pinside has the stern army trolling on it with mindless assumptions just because it’s JJP.
More the merrier I say it’s all good healthy competition.

Seen it all before I'm afraid.

On the camera forum there were Nikon & Canon buyers rejoicing at the recent collapse of Olympus. The rivalry was so intense nobody that nobody stopped to think that a love of photography united them all and the loss of a camera manufacturer was a bad thing for photography.

It appears there are Stern supporters who'd happily see JJP go under and vice versa. It's partisan tribal bulls#1t and about as far removed from a love of pinball as is possible.

Many are like it though. Just pop onto a fishing forum and look at the rivalry between a lake (carp) fisherman and someone who sits on a riverbank fishing for barbel. You'd think that they had something in common but they wouldn't see it that way.

If you have a modern pinball machine at your home then you're a very lucky boy indeed. There are a few trying to get into pinball with a £1500 budget trying to buy their first machine. What they must think of a bunch of grown men squabbling over which £9000 machine is best is anyone's guess.

The fact that anyone would dismiss G&R or Avengers as 'crap' without even playing them just shows how spoilt some have become.

Yes indeed, I suffered that particular form of snobbery when turning up at Bisley for my training with my CZ 455 😂😂😂

I was competition shooting today - Cumbria championships.
I was using a muzzle brake on my .308 (7.62mm) and the looks I was getting - you would think I sh^t the bed 😅
