JJP GNR Pinball

Also shot my 6mm today +
^^^^ Same with shooting...
Some right snobby bast4rds....
I do all disciplines but love turning up with my semi auto 3.5 magnum Benelli Super Black Eagle II on clay shoots to p1ss the tweed snobs off with their 10k over and under Berettas 👍
My dog is really pi55ing me off as my bitch is on heat, looks like another night in the armchair watching them as he just wont leave her alone and if separated goes ballistic.
If I had a gun handy he would be a gonner😡 Thank god I haven’t got one but have thought about getting a firearm licence, maybe I better not☺️

Well probably best not to show the firearms officer that post if you do decide to go for it 😂

My German Pointer is 12, her name is Flipper - this is before I got into Pinball by the way......
More to do with the Dolphin.
She goes to doggy day care every Friday but even the male dogs were trying their best to pump her, even though she’s a soft toy mum with no engine.
She’s still got it at 12 😂👍

With camera snobbery I sort of get it - once you are committed to one manufacturer you are sort of obliged to continue with them due to lens compatibility etc, but with pinball... wtf? More companies means more games means more fun... Who cares which company is making them? Even home pin throwing out (what some would say are) questionable games is a good thing.

It's entirely likely we'll look back on this period in time as pinballs heyday, when the most amount of campanies were producing the most amount of games. Who the f*ck would want to say they spent this time bitching about it.

Every hobby has niche sub hobbies. Pinball is a pretty broad church compared to most. I’ll even forgive people for occasionally slipping and buying a Gottleib DMD Game.

Even pre internet music cliques were bad. Selling goth CDs to people who liked Nighwish or the Mission was pretty much a slappable offence when we did festivals. Even now when I see rock fans in t shirts with skulls on them I cringe, it’s one stage away from deciding you want something with a baying wolf on it. Wearing a skull shirt combined with going bald is utterly unforgivable.

Let’s get this thread back to GnRs people. Enough about your Cars, cameras, guns, dogs or whatever else.
Watch this if you want to see gameplay.
You don’t need deep rules. This game looks a blast. No trapping up when in a song or you will be boo’d off.

yeah but three months in? hmm not so sure - they need to put more into the code.

I see what you mean and my knowledge of code is zero. However the mechanics and shots appear to be very good so a tweak of the software should be easy enough.

In all honesty I'm leaning towards Elvira but only because I have limited space.

I suspect this machine will draw a few newbies into pinball. I can't wait to play it and particularly Welcome to the Jungle multiball 😎⚡⚡

Deeper the code the better in my eyes...

But GnR looks fun as f@ck and that's all you need sometimes... Look at the classics like MM, MB and AFM all simple but you always go back for more

It's a brilliant time for pinball even if you don't like them all... More pins out there the more popular the hobby will be and its better for everyone

no chance if you believe the dates folks are being told on pinside.

review by Greg Poverelli who is a great guy based out of NYC, who has confirmed some of my concerns...

played Avengers LE and GnR LE tonight.
Avengers as a player is a 10. Great rules, unique shot layout, fun to flip, good art and theme. GNR I’d give a 7, looks and sounds amazing which matters, but again same thing predictable JJP everything is lit, scoring is hard to gauge, can’t tell what is going on and the shot layout is subpar. It should earn well if it operates and holds up because it’s amazing to watch and listen to. I am not impressed with game play first impression but I am sure I will like it more as I play it. Honestly, not sure I agree it’s worth 10-12.5k. Avengers I played for hours on end and hungry to get to the wizard mode. I didn’t retain any rules from GnR. That might be my fault I was drunk and it was late. As a rules heavy player that’s exactly how I felt about JJPOTC everytime I played it. I’m sure many will love it. I could enjoy flipping it just for the cool factor but it was underwhelming.
Jackbar set up was dope and I will be back!

Elwin's at it again? What we need is JJP bling with an Elwin layout

Said this many times....

Do not let reviewer, people on here or pinside, online streamers etc influence you on getting a particular game.
Play it - if you like it - buy it.

@huggers - maybe Elwin will get poached by JJP. Sterns are built to a strict budget as we all know. I do not like any of the themes Keith has worked on, so for that reason alone - not really given them a chance.

Anyhow- will not be long until Stern have a new music pin announced.

I can't imagine anyone getting poached from Stern at this point. They're too massive. It'd be like Manchester City poaching Ar5enal players. Oh sh1t wait a minute....

Elwin won’t goto JJP.

So CE’s built in November so we have to put up with a load of waffle on this thread until 2021! Great! [emoji1787][emoji23][emoji722][emoji722][emoji722][emoji239][emoji1641][emoji573][emoji576]

I get this dude and think he is right in everything he says being a hard core rules player! however I could easily scrape 10 reviews the total opposite where people prefer something not having crazy rule scoring combo madness That Elwin loves. One mans meat Blah blah. Me I enjoy my GOTG, DP, Thobbit ect ect whereas my IMDN does my tits in.
I know you are a tournament player Neil and love that side of pinball and will probably prefer AIQ over GnR and It’s the rules/scoring that floats your boat but when your GnR arrives I bet you can’t deny that you will enjoy playing and standing over GnR as a fun experience 2nd to none. What most of the pinside need to do is go play one and make their own minds up. I love my FG it’s everything and more I want out of a pin hence my R&M purchase incoming but to many FG is absolute crap pin. Marmite yet again.
Anyone on the fence now just wait, play then decide.
Food for though look at the bad press BKSOR got I ignored it all waited to an LE came up and jumped on it And I’m so glad I did. SThings is starting to get love regardless of the bad press so it pays to wait and make your own mind up.

just sayin
