Finally, Pulp Fiction

^^^ for sure, can have really fast games then on others the magic just happens. I don’t think there are too many cheap drains, mainly my own doing - have to be so careful with the nudges in the out lanes. Lost count number of times I’ve forced it to drain 🙄
I’m an average Joe player but got my GC score mainly cause I was awarded 2-3 (can’t remember now) extra balls. Got caught up in the moment.
I got shot of my pool table cause I was sick of playing with my imaginary friend. Mrs just wouldn’t pick up a pool cue.

Get a couple of pins in the space of a pool table tho 😎

My boss currently has the CG score at 5 mil, im just behind at 3,8 so thats something to work on next week (set up easy with tight outanes and a friendly incline) still need to read up on the rules surrounding the bonus a bit more, just adjusted the magnet switch so its actually possible, should help the scores a bit.

Really liking the drive fast 'mode' seems overlooked on streams when its easy points and a possible extra ball.

Still struggling with the roll scene, when I do hit the stand-up seems there's about a 50% chance it goes screaming back through the flippers 😁
Feel like this game will be in the collection a long time, so plenty of time to master it.

Be interesting what they eventually do with the online mode, fair few of us UK peeps with the game, be good to have some sort of high score table if that was possible.

Just be careful, the playfield is almost vertical when up. With your foam, u don’t want it making it even more so.
My ass would twitching when left unattended 😬
I noticed the playfield is pretty vertical when raised, but can't imagine it failing down without human intervention.

Now the mirror blades are in it's super tight, with the side protecters making it more so, so hoping not to have to raise it too often. It's the top right of the back board that is the tightest, might need to shave off a couple of mm.

Rules check
Light 1-2-3-4 starts royale with cheese hurry up and gives +1 bonus multiplier. But it also starts lighting up the pop bumpers, which are dark before this. Is just just a lighting change in the game or does it do anything to the score like super jets or something ?

All I can say is I'm glad I'm not paying £1 per play, this thing is kicking my ****!

I might make it a little steeper which I think will help getting the ball under control.
Changing the flipper rubbers to silicon seemed to help me get better control of the ball, not sure if its something to do with the rubbers, or just that my other games have them so more used to the way they play tho.

I've jacked the back up as it felt a bit floaty. Cradling is definitely easier now, but wouldn't say the overall gameplay is any easier

The PinJack is great for testing what level you're happy with before locking them in place. I've got the top of the bolts level with the top of the housing.

Anyone else playing about with custom GI colour?

Not too much information about, but shared my settings on Pinside so thought I would post them here as a starting point for others.

Red-255
Green-200
Blue-50
Brightness-225

Somewhere between the default warm and cool, but closer to warm to retain the retro feel.

I just went with warm as I'm happy with that.

I struggle with too much choice, so if I did the individual settings I'd spend way too much time faffing with them.

Same with the speaker settings, I've just put them back to default.

Are you happy getting rid of Lebowski for Pulp mate?

Installed a shaker today. A top game just got even better. 😀😀

Was going to sell this old shaker today, but it fits and works in PF.

The wiring loom from the pcb to the shaker motor position in the cabinet bottom is already there - so easy hook up.

Alan is it any specific shaker as I think the ones supposedly for cgc are £160ish
If we could establish a cheaper alternative

Any shaker, but you will have to wire in the appropriate plug and the screw holes will be different, so needs screwing or bolting into the wood.

At first I plugged in one of these that I bought a while ago, brand new (I had to make an adaptor as different plugs):
https://www.pinball.co.uk/spares-accessories/mods/pinsound/shaker-motor-by-pinsound/
and it worked, but the screw holes are different.

Then I realised that would be better saved for a future stern game. and I had another one lying around - no idea what game it was made for.
This also worked and again scre holes didnt match up, so I screwed it into the cabinet. Will bolt it if the screws come loose.

Fitted @Colywobbles Sling and Guides Protectors today, nice protection and look awesome in Yellow. Coly provides some washers also for you to change out the smaller CGC ones. Recommended PF people have these Protectors.

Also fitted @SeikoKid Protectors Kit, these are highly recommended and easy to install. Provides protection at the Briefcase Bookie VUK, Pawn Shop entrance, Roll Scene Saucer and Character Saucer. You'll also get some Mylar. Nice and easy steps to guide you with the install are also available 👉 https://www.youtube.com/@TheSeikoKid/videos

Just fitted all four plus the magnet mylar, everything working as expected.

@SeikoKid - It's clear to see you've put the time and effort in to design these, improve upon them, and provided clear video instructions. You deserve to reap the rewards 👍.

Mmm….could be a code issue but I’m not convinced.
Def don’t think someone shoved a used CPU in, thats reaching. Why would they?
Im sure they test the pins prior to shipping.
My one had some dimples around the pops prior to any gameplay by me when unboxed. I have around 15-20 additional plays … assumed to be testing to ensure no issues.
With what you have discovered, I’d be more worried in the event the pin has perhaps been used as a demo somewhere.
Look at all the pins they use for shows, streaming etc….
Is it beyond the realm of possibility they have replaced with populated playfield, decals, touched up then shipped out? All working electronics remain?
Why has the pin got these audits?
I’d reach out on Pinside in first instance, then perhaps email CGC for an explanation.
Not trying to scaremonger, just what I’d do.
Hopefully you’ll get a logical answer to this.
Was Definitely a code issue, lifetime now 22 down from 4200 . The code update clears the counter, there is no way this game had 4200 plays

My friend did, currently at his playing it 😀👍
Great, not that im bothered who has what but the number jogged my memory , I checked the amount plays on it against the wear on the PF just for interest when it was there. it was at 4100 then

Sounds about right, although another mate was playing abba for 3 hours and was saying pulp was hardly touched, if you did the maths the counters where impossible based on the length of the show

Tried the code update on mine, still showing the same number of lifetime plays, although I was already on 1.0.2 so perhaps the updating does nothing if its the same version.

Got a call in with CGC, they are going to speak with the programmer to see if there's any way to clear it.

Cool , worth a try

Yeah, now I have an SD card for the next revision anyway, chap from CGC said something about being stored in Fram, and needing to clear that, he did assure me the CPU was definitly brand new 😁
