Finally, Pulp Fiction

This!!! That shot is so freaking hard! That and the magnet big kahuna shot?
Yes both tough. Magnet not too bad. I find the top left standup really hard to get. The rubber just below it sticks out a bit on mine so a nice clean shot from the left flipper up towards it often gets deflected. I’ll see if I can adjust it tomorrow.

Just doing all the roll scenes is hard enough. That shot is killing me.

I’ve widened out my outlanes to make it as hard as possible. Ready for the league meet at mine in just over a week 😂😂
Yeah, I’ve been getting some success back handing the Roll Scene. On Roll scene, the Shot mode is tough when under pressure from the timer.
The magnet switch is a real bastard.
I’ve adjusted my leaf switch there so much better.
Love the dialogue before u start frenzy, cracks me up 😂
Gonna keep my outlanes OEM now.

If your already a whisker away from Divine Intervention, closing up the outlane might make the game too easy for you :D

Agree on the roll scene, such a tough shot, seems like mastering that shot is the key to the game really. can occasionally backhand but sometimes its just not possible. Briefcase is easy by comparison.

I’m I the first to remove the head?

Think I’ll test before dismantling

I think someone else posted they had to remove it earlier in the thread, not sure if there was an official youtube video of the process, American Pinball have one for theirs.

I don't find that shot too bad via a backhand, it's the stand ups near the burger and watch I struggle with.

Don't you love it when the ball rolls out of the top saucer, hits the lower pop bumper and goes straight back in the saucer. Cheap way to light a character.

Mirror blades fitted, shaker installed, slings adjusted to make then more sensitive and outlanes lowered millimetres for what it's worth.

Anyone else with a pauper's version fitted a shaker?

Mine just hits that middle pop bumper and it doesn’t go off. It’s doing my ****ing head in. I’m going to take the whole pop bumper assembly apart cos something is fooked - I’ve adjusted the switch and spoon lots and it works for a while then goes insensitive

I’ve had quite a puplpy day of maintenance.

All pop bumper switches adjusted and now firing properly. I found the spoon and first leaf of the switch were not flush on a couple of them, meaning the spoon had free movement before actually touching the first leaf, then more movement before actually connecting to the second. One of them wasn’t quite seated properly, as in the bottom bit of the skirt was not central in the spoon, so unscrewed and adjusted the position. I hope that’s it done now as the game really suffers when the ball just dribbles out of the pops. Now it ricochets round like mad and triggers the kahuna targets regularly, which is defo key to good scores.

Additionally I’ve fitted @SeikoKid ’s hole protectors. I wasn’t sure whether these were really needed, but on inspection, the Pawn Shop hole was already starting to show signs of wear and I’m glad I took the plunge on a set.

The components all fit very well and were simple to install. The online videos showing installation were very clear also. I had no trouble and only one question, which @SeikoKid confirmed.

I’ve since played a bunch of games and can report no issues with rejections, or anything catching.

Managed to complete Cast Chaos with the final collect at the character collect scoop earlier and was really buzzing - simple but tough game. Competing all stages of Briefcase is gonna be a mission and a half.

I’ve attached pics of the hole protectors, so you can see what you get.

For the guys/gals who have txt/pm me over the past few weeks for protectors we are now cooking on gas.
I have worked most of the day on plastics for PF as I finally got my hands on the original plastics with big thanks to @Sutol.

Bear in mind I may be adding to this set as I have most of them now drawn up, however some are pointless and others don’t have the wiggle room on the studs so I will keep you’s in the loop.

My recommendation is Yellow as they compliment the original art on both the plastics and the playfield artwork. IMHO they really enhance the pin and Sutol has chose these for himself after originally asking for a clear set.
Best part about using yellow is that it gives zero bleed whereas red does cause a little.
I have also shipped a set to Neil in Orange who will check back and send me some pics.

Obviously for the purists I also do a clear set purely for the protection.

I am also including a set of washers that replace the ones CGC have fitted. They are slightly larger and better fitting ones unlike the sloppy CGC effort. Use em or lose em as they inc. FOC

PM or Pinside Shop

Hope everyone is enjoying this long awaited game.

Pulp Fiction frenzy is my fav so far. If you can repeat it without draining the game changes colour, from red, to yellow, to blue, to....... well some else can answer that because I didn't get any further
What's the consensus on protector colour, red or black?

Yellow is definatly the colour to choose.
It was the first color I tried and as soon as the game was on i just knew straight away.
I put the red on for comparison but it's nowhere near.way too much bleed for me.

1st batch of protectors should be arriving today and been asked what the circled plastic for.
It’s a shopping trolley keyring.
To use insert in slot grab your trolley then push left or right and the gizmo shout come out without the hassle of losing your coin.
Great for pushing you trolleys home or dumping in the local canal 😉

Looking good 😊. I used the circular ones too, didn't even realise the originals were there they were that small, it was like a game of Where's Wally. Managed to find all 5 in the end. Thanks again 👍.

Looks good! I might also have to get a set in yellow.

I just got Pulp Fiction Frenzy for the first time. What an awesome mode / light show / call outs

Switch mode with those spinners 😎

Bit of a weird one,

Haven't ever managed to get on the high score table, most of the default scores seemed to be in the 10's of millions range (with the shimmering 1 at the end), but reading posts some people getting grand champ with scores of 3 ish mil.
Decided to go in and clear the high score menu, figured the factory might have set high scores when testing each switch etc, while browsing went to have a look at the total plays and found it reads 1680!

It got set up 10 days ago, I had a few games before the playfield protector arrived, but basically kept it switched off most the time until last Friday when that arrived, so its been a week really, average game time is around 5 mins and the building is locked at the weekend, so unless its been played solidly for 26 hours a day its just not possible to rack up that sort of play count.

I'm utterly baffled, it was clearly a brand new game when it came out the box, so I'm not suggesting CGC have sold me a used game or anything, just confused 😂

That's interesting my friends is showing 4,200 we assumed as it came from the EAG show that it was correct, however another mate who was at the show said on the day he was there it was hardly played

Is it possible to raise this with Chicago either directly or via your supplier I think it's a bug, I would but my friends machine it's impossible to verify the play count, but I thought 4300 was a bit suspicious and apparently on for 10 days solid
