Finally, Pulp Fiction

Best game so far today, kicked off both multiballs a couple of times, got to cast chaos, a couple of roll scenes, and a whisker away from frenzy when the last ball drained.

Gotta say, after playing this game for a while the original game music just seems to blend in with the tunes from the film, and you almost forget there made for the pin

I had a monster game today. 46M - most earned on ball 2. One shot gave me 9m !!!
@zxspectrum16k was there waiting patiently.
I drained all my extra balls so he could have his turn😂😂

Tried several times this evening to recreate and I’m getting nowhere. 😳
That was an Epic ball, it was great to see lots of the mods, tons packed into that code. Pulp Fiction Frenzy, pure WOW

Hello to Yellow

Let’s be clear, If your playing hard don’t forget you should use protection

Nice Pop bumper cap mod.

I have just been playing mine and had a look a pop bumper caps, cool to see the centre of the caps are raised at the back and facing forward.

This game is so perfect in every way I can't think of any other mods other than protectors and mirror blades, pure perfection in my opinion. There are so so many little things in this machine you keep discovering in this beauty. Truly something else, thank goodness for Tarantino's input on this machine, likely never see anything like this ever again.

Agreed, the game is as close to perfection as they come, shows what happens when a game is made with uncompromised passion over keeping the bean counters happy,

The bumper mod is just a small project I wanted to get out, purposely kept the design close to the OEMs but wanted to create a more neon look for the text like in the movie and on the topper as well as removing that light bleed through the OEM caps.

The GI/bumpers have some really nice pulsing and dimming light effects that get washed out a little with OEMs, the dimming effects look great focused throuh the neon infills, plus who doesn’t like neons 😁

I've never got to Pulp Fiction Frenzy so decided tonight to only go for that goal. I find those 2 🎯 targets on each side of the playfield the most difficult shots, I just can't dial them in, I think I need to gap the switches to make them more sensitive.

Anyway, the furthest I got was P-U-L-P F-I-C a few times. I'll give it another go next time.

To hit the side ones shoot the 3 centre drops, the ball should often bounce off and hit the side ones. That’s how I get them. I noticed this in the roll scene mode where you have to hit just those red arrows.

Just had a call from @Adrian Hufton
Pulps dead baby pulps dead
Not locking balls in the pawn shop. Looks like an opto has gone down. Good news I bought spare optos and receivers
Bad news they are packed in my trailer awaiting a house move.
We have an informal meet tomorrow too.
Have I read somewhere you can play with virtual locks???

Update
Did opto test and most wernt working
Lifted playfield and give a good waggle around that area
Re did test and all optos registered
My Hufton has now earned his tec badge
Game on

I’m near ordering mine but I would love to get a few opinions on quality and issues, are you guys enjoying yours?

Loving mine, and wouldn't be an issue for me if it was the only Pin I owned.

I'm finding it super tough, but that's kind of what makes me keep pressing the start button. I find it hard to believe anyone has beaten it, even after watching videos of them doing it 😄.

Common issues seem to be flaky optos, lock down bar fitting issues and pop bumpers needing adjustments. Luckily I've not had any of those issues, just needed to gap some of the switches to make them more responsive.

It's a solid, great looking, great playing Pin. Still early days but maybe the closest I've had to a 'keeper'.

There seem to be a lot out there so they'll start hitting the used market at some point.

It feels like pure Pinball, without the need for toys and a big screen.

Thank for the reply, really helpful

A good session on pulp and others at @Adrian Hufton yesterday. Thank you. The game never missed a beat and everyone that played it was really impressed. Lots of comments about great theme integration.
I’m led to believe around 60 entered the uk market which is a very high number I think. So there may be some that appear on the second hand market but I also think most owners will be bolting this beast to the floor.
Get one bought you will not be disappointed it’s a work of art even before you play a game.

Honestly had hardly any issues with mine, nothing a few tiny tweaks didn’t resolve, and no more than any modern stern I have purchased.

Seriously love playing pulp, at first watching the videos I wondered if I would get bored as from the outside I thought it didn’t look that deep code wise but that opinion has certainly changed since owning. Yes it’s hard but is so rewarding completing a mode or a multiball and managing to get a 2x or 3x kahuna bonus is a proper rush.

I’m set at 4 balls and I find this helps get to see more of the game for me and guests.

call outs, sound tracks and light shows are incredible and really make this game amazing for me and it certainly gets played alot over most of my other games.

One strange thing with mine and the lifetime audits, but CGC we're great to deal with and sent a new CPU board that should sort that (not that it was affecting gameplay)
Bit disappointing the scoop holes aren't protected from the factory, but SK has those covered.

Not much to say really that hasn't been said, its an excellent package, very much more than the sum of its parts, the shots, modes, lighting and sound are integrated so well.

From a difficulty point of view, its possible to reach all the mini wizard modes even as an average player, but..... tying that all together and completing the multiballs in one single game is a mountain to climb, even for the best.
