Ebay Auctions 2014

Hmm, cant see any holes at all in this one:

Person selling it isn't the actual owner of it and the actual owner (the son) may well not be around to answer any questions in person

I cannot post pictures of it working
Obviously anyone buying a pinball machine has no interest in knowing / seeing that it actually works. We just buy them for the decorated wood!

my son purchased a year ago and has never used it
Well that fills me with confidence!

this machine has been fully serviced all its life
I'm sure anyone would be willing to take your word on that with no proof

Overall this machine is perfect
Oh I'm sure its just as it was new in box!

we all know what its worth
Of course you do, which is why its listed for £500 more than a good one is worth

still has the original wrapping
Ah, so that's where the extra £500+ is in the auction then, my bad!

I cannot see it having any problems
And there you go, the seller has absolutely no knowledge of pinball.

Happy bidding everyone!

NICE

we should do more ebay related ones like this:thumbs:

That is good break down on what worries/annoys us with ebay ads. The words start to sound more and more false when there things that don't ring true from the start.
Why would the son buy the pinball and never play it? I think this person needs to get their son checked out as they are obviously ill if they are willing to buy the machine and never set it up to play.
:) (smiley face to show humour)

Think it was one of those personal challenges like putting a fruit pastel in your mouth without chewing it, got to admire the guys will power.

Today's top selling tips.....

Wait until someone else is selling the same machine then post yours for a higher price just above it. BF and RFM

Better still when selling your Batman Forever don't worry that people might be concerned about the big DMD failing use a photo from 2007 that'll reassure them;)

Thought that RS up on ebay sold earlier this year, seller is now selling the same machine again? he must have had two identical ones right

One of those is mine, the rfm , when I went to list it there was just the rough looking one up for 1500. When my listing went live it was just after the dearer one with the non standard screen...one of those sods law moments I guess

Oops, sorry Mr Bulldog, just yanking your chain a bit;)

Got to be gutting for this to happen. On the flip side I jumped on the first ID4 I saw after waiting 2 years and paid over the odds. One week later another turned upon Gumtree for half the price and 2 days after that another on the forum:mad:

Good luck with the sale

No offence taken

Think Marc is using his head and avoiding the ebay fees, knows nobody will pay £10k so it won't sell but it's there if anyone wants to make contact and negotiate a price, once machine has changed hands the listing can just tick down to a close with no sale & no fees, £250 is a silly amount of money for listing on any auction site and should be circumvented any way possible ;)

So what's going on with the Fishtales? 3 days listing (never understand this one). All of a sudden it's gone from £750 up to £1800?

Either someone is shilling. Or possibly post Play Expo someone has decided they want a FT and have no clue what it's really worth?

Place your bets for this one. Great looking machine, no reserve, Good advert and pics. Christmas coming up and a major pin show has just been

BUT.....

Will the possibility of an AFM remake coming after MMr have any impact?

Doubt it will go for a steal but wouldn't be surprised if it stayed under 4k. 18 months ago I would have guess at far higher

Personally I think both AFM and MB are potential runners to be reissued so will we see some restraint on prices for these titles?

Would definately agree with AFM but not so sure about MB. Mainly because of the Universal license they'd have to get to be able to include the monsters.

Shame too as i'd bloody love a MB.

I'd say 4k at least. Can't imagine a remake will be priced any less than 5k.

And if you've got a bit of spare change you could buy the watch he's also selling.

eBay take 10% of final value up to a max of £250. It was £40. So anything over £2500 attracts £250 fee.

Pretty sure it's capped at £250 for private sellers. However there's no cap for business sellers, although I think it's only 9% in this category.
