Why not go down for a visit? Taking a nice wadge of cash with you.

It's the only way to buy.

True I was just going by the test report

More telling is the bit in the listing where it says "some loose coils are hanging down inside". If it had come from an Op then it's been used as a parts machine most likely so god knows what might be missing. Definitely one where you'd need to go look and go over the game with a microscope to see whats been robbed.

Posting something like "That could be a cheap and easy fix" on a game that most definitely could not be doesn't really help less experienced members of the forum. They may see your comment and think it's worth taking a punt on when IMO it is not.....maybe think before posting sometimes?

Good chance the buyer got a bargain.
Depends what the offer was that got accepted. If the seller accepted an offer of 1.5k for instance, gives about 1k to sort the problems out!

Space Invaders, currently £209 reserve not met. Pretty sure this has been on before as I recall the "slightly 'chattery' left flipper" from the description.

Ah, yes. I double-checked. This one went for £1,070 of April 24th: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/321383466656. Is it just me or is that just a teensy bit too much? Someone must have thought so hence the re-listing.

My IJ on ebay is being 'bid-up' by a new user (created account on Sunday) with 0% feedback and no other activity. Has anyone seen this before? what is the point? My concern is that if they win the auction and don't follow through with the sale. Any advice?

I think everyone is wise now to how bad it really is..

Everything has it's price. However, you'd have to mental to pay 1400/1500 for that pile of junk.

I guess the question is... what is the real value? 700-1000 quid?

Not sure why someone is doing this really, the only benefit is if you yourself had a second person in place to push the price up if you wanted more money, and I'm pretty sure this practice is banned anyhow. I had someone do this to me, I was bidding on an item and I lost as the seller had a second dummy account to try to push the price up, it was very suspicious when all 3 of the items he was selling that I lost on got offered to me as a second chance as the winning bidder apparently pulled out. The only other reason I can think of is someone else has an IJ for sale and they are putting dummy bids on yours to try to push the price up and kill interest, and get people to bid on theirs instead perhaps?

If they don't follow through the most you can do is report them to eBay I believe, or they could just genuinely be a new buyer who wants the item and all will be well. I would cross my fingers they don't win it though.

I'm quite local to that Robocop.... but no space.... happy to pop over if anyone wants me to take a look.

Cheers man. She's well out of my area anyway, so costs of getting it running + deliverers etc, just not making sense to me at the moment. Pictures look from a 0.01 mega pixel cam too. Rareish game, no clue how many are in this country either but gonna try wait it out some more. Just got a bit excited when it popped in the email as I've had that search term being watched for a while..

Or someone shilled it too high and no buyer topped it at the last minute, so having to relist it...

Just looked at the bidding on it and the last genuine bid was probably £414 before two bidders (shillers at a guess) took it over the £1K mark.
