BM66 had Lyman arguably the greatest coder in pinball history and he saved the game with his code and theme integration.

Bond has Lonnie who historically does just enough and that’s it.

What other games has that person (Lonnie) done mate?

As you can see mate, he's worked on loads of games, not necessarily always as the the lead programmer, but a lot of good games there. Unfortunately I think that comparing any programmer to Lyman is difficult, for Lonnie it's clear that programming pinball machines is a job, for Lyman it was clearly much much more than that. I think Lonnie's name is tarnished because of Wheel of Fortune, that game is completely incomplete, inserts that do nothing, no wizard mode etc. That time at Stern they probably made an executive decision to move on, it didn't sale well, his time was better spent working on the next game, makes sense. However Lyman would have done that and then gone home and carried on working until the game was complete, that was just Lyman, it was in his blood.

Elwin is the same, it's his life and has been for a long long time. It's important to say that Elwin isn't the programmer on any of his games, that's Rick Naegle, but Elwin does basically tell him everything to do, it's all mapped out, no one has ever been quite like that before.

It's also important to say that Elwin hasn't had that same relationship on Bond 60th, he has basically done the playfield and that's it, someone else has programmed it entirely, it feels like that was important for him to point that out!

Elwin is sk8ball

we need Cleland on the code !! not sure who did the amazing Jurassic park custom code but bloody brilliant over the std stern code
Believe that was Delt and a couple others over on Pinside, great guy and it was a major passion project, from what was said it was a major PITA to create but like you said Lee it’s bloody great and a game changer.

He done your Aerosmith matey

Cheers boys

To be fair Aerosmith code is pretty limited but the shots are quite hard so it's not easy to complete. I do like the programming on both multiballs though and the gamble aspect.

Looking at his list both Metalica and LOTR are okay so maybe he'll do a decent enough job.

So who's the next best coder after Elwin and does anyone fancy chatting to me about this fascinating subject on a chinwag? 😂

Yeah unfortunately mate, those are 2 that weren't actually him 🙈 he was just 'supporting'.

Metallica was Lyman and LOTR was Keefer (Keith Johnson). Keith now works for Jersey Jack, he is a rules master
Whoops.... I didn't know 😬

To be fair mate he probably made a lovely cup of tea for Lyman whilst he was coding it.

That’s very cool.
Can you imagine if that was mirrored.
I’ve already looked into getting a Translite mirrored into a backglass for a restore project and it’s not cheap.

I can’t remember off the top of my head the exact cost but I’m sure it was 700+ close to 900.

I am looking into getting the 007 and separation lines yellow (for pro owners) and silver.

Was pushed for time on Saturday, but had a go - Code must've been very early out of the code (why don't they make an effort to update at Funland?; seems like they always wait for someone like Neil to go there with a usb stick...), as saw a "assets awaiting approval" or something like that message on the screen.
Liked the yellow and translight; very nice, but in person the PF colours looked terrible (to my taste) - the scuba area scoop on the left felt a bit of a waste of PF real-estate
Some really fun shots on it though and I look forward to playing one more after code updates; will be a fun game when the music/sound and all modes are implemented; especially the Premium.

The code is pretty shallow in reality, you can only do 4 of the 6 Villain modes and all of the Henchmen modes except one (Grant), there are only 2 Q modes and they end if you start a multiball. So there are currently no wizard modes in the code

I had nothing to do except endless Multiballs after I passed about 800m
