Just had a look at Disney tickets in Florida.

£519 per week for ages 10+. F*ck a duck.

Wanted to go back as love Disney but they're taking the **** now. Two weeks for us with 2 kids approx £16,000. For that I could nearly buying two thirds of a 60th 007 machine!!

I was pricing up taking the family two kids 6 and 10 to Florida in 2024.

Villa, flights, car hire and passes for all the parks is coming in at around £10k 😳

Does that sound right. New pin or Florida holiday. Tough one 😏

Sounds about right. We are going this October. Cheapest way to do the parks is to get the tickets from a site like undercovertourist

You can get a 3 park Disney pass (with 5 days to use it) for about half the price of the 14 day pass Disney try to sell you. Same for Universal

Can we start a thread somewhere about Disney and leave this on topic?

Yes agreed, I’ve suggested this before but I’ve started a thread in general discussion.

Has there ever been a bigger gulf between anticipation vs reality for a new pin?

I know Toy Story was a letdown, but Bond looks so meh, and has taken so long to get released, that no one seems remotely interested in buying one

Nobody!.. apart from
@Sven Normansson..

Is the new price increase finally enough to put people off!?

Will people mostly look to buy PRO’s now?

I though the game was great, had good flow, hitting the villian ramp, then left orbit to come back to the right flipper to then hit the right orbit and then middle or loop., such a rush!

Shame bond on a wand stil doesn’t do anything, but could be good with code.

It has alot of potential overall I liked it

I really like the shots Dave and I'm pretty sure the film assets will be brilliant once fully incorporated.

I don't think the delayed release & licensing has as big an impact on sales as the price rise coming at the same time as a recession and all the currency stuff.

Everyone's circumstances are different of course, but with work revenue down I could possibly save to buy a NIB pro in 2024 and by then other pins will be available. Gone are the days where I'll buy a pin without being absolutely certain, and that caution is probably enough to make people keep their powder dry and see what Bond is really like.

If a buyer has 8-9 k to spend on a pin then perhaps other manufacturers aside from Stern & JJP become a consideration. Bond might become a wonderful game and I suspect it will but some people are now waiting to see code updates before committing to the purchase. I think in 2020 007 would have flown out the factory at £6800 irrespective of code.

I'm in for an LE all paid for!

I feel its going to be another BM66 loads of people bitching and moaning about the code etc then when it finally gets sorted people wanting one and there being none in the UK

Totally agree be a good game when done … just a pity with the fluffed launch and price increase that what should be a really exciting time for pinball has felt such a let down and flat

I guess in which case it's going to be interesting to see who's coding it because Lyman did such an amazing job on Batman66.

It's one of my absolute favourites but the shots are nothing spectacular. It's theme integration, fun and code which really endears Batman to me.

I don't know enough about coding or who does what but I wonder if anyone (aside from Elwin) is getting close to Lyman's level? Surely the other coders must have noticed his nuanced style and learnt a thing or two?

Did Stern replace him with someone else when he left?

BM66 had Lyman arguably the greatest coder in pinball history and he saved the game with his code and theme integration.

Bond has Lonnie who historically does just enough and that’s it.
