I worked on two 007 films (just missed Goldeneye) in the late 90’s at Pinewood, happy days. People in the film industry knew how to have a good time🤪
Love to have one but I already have a new one on the way, hopefully plenty get ordered so I can pick one up later on if it’s any good😎

What topper will it have, could be interesting!

Im expecting a secret trap door to open in the glass, and the ball to be ejected out towards the player, only to be caught at the last moment by a hang gliding bond who descends from the fully interactive topper.

From the latest Pinball News update:

James Bond was the last game Steve Ritchie designed for Stern Pinball before leaving the company for Jersey Jack Pinball. Although Steve indicated he left the company with finished Pro and Premium whitewoods, VP of Game Design George Gomez commented a few months ago on Steve’s last game design for the company. Gomez mentioned the game wasn’t done, that he trashed it and picked up the license himself. How much of Steve’s designs has been used remains to be seen.

Rumor has it hardly any assets for the game were available. The 007 license has already been used in slot machines, in a Sean Connery Goldfinger version and a Pierce Brosnan Tomorrow Never Dies version, both using hardly any scenes from the movies they are based on. The 007 pinball game is rumored to be themed around Sean Connery, but it is unclear which movie(s) will be part of it. When the game is officially revealed, read all about it on the Pinball Magazine website.

More to read about including JJP having the Top Gun licence which might be good. Worth a read.

What did you do on the films @M4carp out of interest, my relationship to the films is thorough my good friend was (still is) PA to Sir Rog. I was down at Pinewood a couple of weeks ago, and it is in constant change, new Sean Connery stage is up, and where there were car parks are new stages. I even saw signs on doors saying "walt disney studios", slowly the old place losing it's identity.

I woke up this morning - sanity checked
Thinking DB5 going on the PF ….
Sounds cool….
Already a tidal wave of peeps saying “ take my money!”
Reality is they are £11.90
I guess if you worked that out in the Stern BoM … the RRP would be circa £900 for a toy that cost £1.99 in the 70s

Unfortunately not a stunt double😂 Lighting with AFM Lighting, was in Iver every week until just before lockdown as a mate lives there and was working that way. He was going into Pinewood as they would open up their cinema to the community which was nice of them.
Not been in there since 2001, bet it’s changed a lot since then.

I'd like to see a DB5 doing gyroscopic donuts with the ball trapped inside the car and released to a player timed flipper tap manoeuvre to release into the heart of a Spectre meeting in a secret Italian location, starting a crazy 7 ball multiball where each of the jackpots increases in value, each jackpot relating to a past bond villain until the 25th and final jackpot kills bond and your game literally burns it's own circuit board with a secret smoke machine, leaving all who own it crapping themselves as they think their £10k unit has literally gone up in smoke. Every ball drains and quiet fills the room..... vroom, the engine rumbles and.......

Smoke machine only available in the SLE unfortunately folks!

Do you mean best place?

I’m going to be there on Tuesday for the reveal. I could do a live stream I guess. Where is the next place to host it for everyone?
Probably YouTube Live I would say, but twitch can be viewed without account as well if you're setup on there.

I called out the db5 ejector sear vuk first lol

Fingers crossed its going to be awesome

Strangely whilst big Phil is in London im in Newcastle

If it’s Bond done like Jurassic Park I’ll sit this one out until I’ve played one. Bond has to be bond, Connery, his voice, real movie clips, anything less is not Bond for me, I don’t want some Scouse Connery impersonator

It's crying out for good mechs. Bond's gadgets were always the best part (unless you like seedy womanising). Is Stern too mean to put them in? I hope not. If it wasn't for them giving Elwin goodies in GZ I would think so, but Gomez is top dog and he won't want to look stupid. Or am I naive?
Rumour has is, the Seedy womanising edition (tm) is £15k.... has special callouts recorded by J Clarkson and Boris J and a congratulatory phone call from Chris Rea*

*Chris will also make an appearance at a BBQ of your choosing (but will insist on bringing his vegetarian wife AND his red Strat)

Funnily enough I thought the same on Thursday.

During the West Ham game the ball went out of play and hit a steward wearing an orange hi viz jacket with 007 on it.

Must be a sign 🤔
The term apophenia springs to mind ;)

I know a lot of you want an Aston Martin on the playfield- I reckon a gun plunger would be a better justification of the price increase and add to theme integration just like Goldeneye or IJ

Won’t happen as Gary stipulates manual traditional plunger.

I left Peterborough 7 minutes late last night (I had to make toilet) and got home at 0007
Can they be a sign?
