From the latest Pinball News update:
James Bond was the last game Steve Ritchie designed for Stern Pinball before leaving the company for Jersey Jack Pinball. Although Steve indicated he left the company with finished Pro and Premium whitewoods, VP of Game Design George Gomez commented a few months ago on Steve’s last game design for the company. Gomez mentioned the game wasn’t done, that he trashed it and picked up the license himself. How much of Steve’s designs has been used remains to be seen.
Rumor has it hardly any assets for the game were available. The 007 license has already been used in slot machines, in a Sean Connery
Goldfinger version and a Pierce Brosnan
Tomorrow Never Dies version, both using hardly any scenes from the movies they are based on. The 007 pinball game is rumored to be themed around Sean Connery, but it is unclear which movie(s) will be part of it. When the game is officially revealed, read all about it on the
Pinball Magazine website.
More to read about including JJP having the Top Gun licence which might be good. Worth a read.
