Rich man’s hobby buddy getting too rich for most of us
There’s just no way I’m dropping 10k+ on a stern without seeing it, too much risk, you could end up with a killer game like Godzilla or a box of lights like Star Wars, after JJP ****ing up Toy Story I gotto see these things first now they want 10k+

Yes exactly basically if you want a le you got to order unseen and take what’s in the box it’s it right but how it is

If an LE is £14k and Rush LE was £12.5, Rush pro £7.5, will Bond pro be £9k? Across the board increases for other titles too? Guess we’ll see soon

9k pros, if that’s the case I might go for a premium if the game is a brilliant, if not I’ll stick to my goldeneye and bow out of the NIB game, 10k pros by next Xmas.

Just because Neil is on a ‘break’, you don’t have to step in and start bashing Star Wars.........😂

IMO, if this is really the prices then the product is DOA.
Great waste of time by Stern, enjoy..lol

All U.K. LEs spoken for so there’s clearly enough buyers here with deep pockets, but after those initial LE buyers there might not be any regular PRO buyers willing or able to drop 9k. Even on Pinside there is a fair amount of chat revolving around being officially priced out this release which is not something I’ve seen before stateside, but clearly even they are getting cold feet with entry level prices sky rocketing.

Aren't the majority of LE buyers stateside these days just scalpers?

Or bang your head when stood in front of it, ouch!

My older son has a baby tooth missing thanks to the casting trigger on Fish Tales. He was on a small stool playing shortly after we got it. He was jumping up and down with excitement, fell sideways, hit the casting trigger, and knocked a tooth out!* There are still blood stains on the (faded) side art. We bump into the casting trigger regularly, fortunately with no further injuries, but I’ve sworn never to ever own a (non-Fish Tales) pinball machine with an enormous casting gun/trigger like that…

[*He was very very brave having the broken tooth extracted at the dentist].

Really? Didn’t know deposits were being taken.
Looks like I’ve missed the boat 🙁

There really isn’t much on Stern LE’s to make it that desirable for me personally. Most is cosmetic upgrades: mirrored backglass, different art and powder coated metalwork.

The plaque and a certificate and an autograph are just marketing tools, as is ltd edition of 1,000 to justify the price hike.

The other stuff that is more meaningful can be added anyway: shaker, invisiglass, side art and speaker upgrade.

Exactly the reason I am out on Le s now
I can’t justify the extra cost and a lot of the time I don’t like the artwork

You certainly haven’t. I’d do what I did with Godzilla. Find an opportunity to play an LE or demo model a few times (I admit, that’s easier in London) and then pre-order a Prem if you like it. You can powder coat, add a shaker, etc. at a later date.

LE's are definitely already gone on this title.

I think people probably trust Stern enough to pre-order whereas G&R and TS4 will mean that many buyers will have to see the next JJP release before committing to £14k.

So whilst potential Bond buyers might not have seen the game yet they're probably safe enough in the knowledge that it will be good. I think the combination of Stern, Gomez and theme probably gives buyers more confidence.

I agree with this 100% and also money is of course all relative for different people.

Even if the LE buyers didn’t like it once they received it, they will probably only take a small percentage bath of it to sell on, so it’s probably not a huge gamble money wise.
