UKPinfest 2024 - August 16th, 17th & 18th

But anyone can pay for one ticket and have a go at the competition :)

I think its the paying extra when not interested in the competition is the issue, Previously just had to be there for the Friday night VIP session to have a couple of goes, not they have to pay extra to register for the comp and comp entry ticket, and then if its only one game in the bank they wanted to play on they can only go on it once unless they buy more tickets.

So if theres only one game in the comp bank they want to play on its £10 for a single go on it, and then £5 for each additional go.

I think it was one of the selling points for the Friday VIP session in that you got to play on the comp reserved machines, thats gone now.

Yah I keep forgetting the dates then did a double take on reading the 2023 sticky! lol
Had to then check hotel dates to confirm I've not screwed up :P

Unfortunately i wont be attending pinfest this year. Long story, but the date move has made it untenable for me for personal reasons along with some other issues i've had. My room booking is being released so speak to the hotel and maybe you get lucky if you need a room (twin room, fri to sunday).

If anyone wants anything from me it'll be by post as per usual.

Maybe i'll see you again in 2025 if the dates go back to end of august.

Enjoy..

@Big Phil do you know if you can get a day pass to the spa at the hotel? Planning on staying in the campervan on the car park and would be nice to have use of facilities.

I have a room, hopefully this year they will get it right and have 2 beds in it…

I am on my own and so have a bed spare for the Fri & Sat night -

On the plus side, I don’t snore anymore.

Anyone who doesn’t have a room can bunk with me.. split the room cost.

For reference PM @Calimori 😂

Apolgies if this has been discussed in another thread and I missed it, but can you just buy a VIP ticket for the Saturday? I want to ideally drive down on the Saturday and have late afternoon and Saturday night to play and then drive home on the Sunday morning. Can only see VIP option for the whole weekend.

Yeah we'll sort it out on the day.

2025 is back to the bank holiday weekend.

The hotel took a booking for a wedding this year’s bank holiday. Out of my hands unfortunately.
For about 8 years I've gone away every August Bank Holiday, camping down near Weymouth with our best friends and their 2 kids. This year (after moaning about the clash for a few years) I petitioned to move the camping dates a week forward so I could go to Pinfest and finally won. I still haven't heard the last of it though with the date change this year.

Maybe I'll make it in 2026 :)

I'm really looking forward to attending my first Pinfest this year and getting to see lots of lovely pinball machines as i have only really seen a few in the flesh, including the 2 i now own :) and also meeting lots of you there. I'll be driving down with a friend from North wales for the Saturday so it will be an early start for us but can't wait.

I’ve managed to book up a nearby apartment with me and two pals driving down on Friday morning from Newcastle- can’t wait! Is there a link to the list of pins somewhere? Also, is there much parking at the hotel or is it better to Uber?

Loads of parking at the hotel, just make sure you register your reg number at reception on the screen so you don't get fined.

There is a machine donation thread in this section of the forum.

Just starting to think about Parts Pre orders so if you want any stock item parts and want to make sure I have them drop me a PM and I can make sure I have enough in stock to cover your order and have spare.

Any non stock items I can get from Pinball Life I am ordering this week , see other thread so can get for you PM again

Virtual Pinball talk with Toby from VPin Workshop!

Toby (aka Sixtoe) from VPin Workshop talks about all things virtual pinball, where it's come from and and how it's grown into the thriving hobby community it is today, how we build a virtual table and make use of new technology (such as VR) and how the virtual side works with and supports the pinball community as a whole, includes a Q&A.

This will be my first too, I wish I had the cash to own my own. Coming from Scotland for the weekend (though still unsure about the Sunday as I’ll be travelling back that day).

Cannot wait to check out all the machines.

There is a scottish pinball league you're welcome to join btw. I hosted this years Ayrshire meet and will be doing next years so its an easy trip from Glasgow.
