Long day yesterday 😅
But here are the initial setup after delivery photos of the eBay BK 👍🏼

Only has two bulbs out and apart from the crusty rubbers, it’s fully working😎

Question for experienced FB Marketplace/eBay buyers. I've been tipped off to a pinball machine that's on my 'hit list', which is for sale currently, but in another country!

What questions should I ask and what should I look out for in terms of scams, etc.? It's been photographed in two different locations, but the pictures are only on the FB page and another sale site (under the same name), etc.

As an example question? Sorry, never done this before.

I asked if they had photos of the boards (there are pictures of the pin switched on), whether they shipped internationally (obviously) and whether it was fully working (they’re always going to say ‘yes’, right…)
 
Get on a video call with them and get them to show you around the pin. I would not send £thousands internationally without being very confident that I can trust the person on the other end.

Hey Steve. I thought there were also a few other minor differences….I think the jet bumper cap has different style artwork…and maybe a few other things, but I’m not exactly sure myself of the differences between the models. If you (or anyone else) can help clarify, that would be great👍🏼

Isn’t the inserts jewel like or something as well when you look through them?
 
Pay via PayPal or credit card to protect yourself, too many scams out there to risk sending money by bank transfer. But my advice unless it’s a known trusted source steer well clear, it’s not worth the risk of losing your money.

Went just shy of 2k.

I was interested 15 mins before end at 1330 😆

Prob about right considering some niggles and issues to sort on it. Sound, target . Also GI backbox out, plus whatever else.

If anybody got it on here I should be able to supply a working sound board from the 5 or 6 spares I have. Probably will take about a week as I have promised others boards and I need to test those first. £85 posted UK. Just DM me.

Not seen it before myself anyway. Well NOS is correct, looks unplayed but still needs a tidy with the corrosion to the ramps and messy coindoor. I'd be inclined to do those first if I were selling it.

I'd still love it of course, just not at that moolah!

I dont know mate - then someone would say it is not original.... A collector would really enjoy the story of having one thats never been used.

I've just video called the bloke on WhatsApp - so, it's not a scam. It looked clean, it turned on and the lights came on in the backbox into attract mode.

I didn't investigate further because it's an export (European) edition, but definitely worth investigating if you're a Gottlieb fan and fancy one, and don't care about the spinning disk on the backbox.

Yes, it really does. It looks that nice on video, as well.

I just know if I bought it, I'd spend the next X years wanting to spend £2k importing a set of mirrored backglasses and another £Xk (plus time) having a new backbox built (and stencilled) to accommodate the spinning disk 😭 If I'm starting at £2,795 for the European edition, and then I do the backbox conversion (plus a couple of hundred on the sound/speech board), that's more than it costs to import a mint restored BH from the States.

So, posted here for someone who isn't madly in love with the spinning backglass!!

Just mount yourself on a spinning disc as you play. Same effect. Job done ✊
