A nice looking working Black Knight with 10mins to go on eBay at £1320…

Black Knight Limited Edition Pinball Machine | eBay

Everything still appears to work. The playfield is probably one of the best I've seen, which is why I bought the machine. It is shiny with only one area of wear near the top right flipper. On the last photo you can just see a tiny chip of paint missing in the blue area.

Now will Space Invaders go higher even though it's a project? I think it's definitely more sought after, but non working?
 
Going rate then, in the 12 months I've owned a pinball, prices really have gone up and continue to rise.
 
I think BK at that, that’s a pretty good buy for someone provided no nasty surprises - which seems unlikely as the seller looks genuine. With a new backglass and rubbers it’ll be a beaut. Is the buyer on here?

Looks like the SI is from the same seller as you can see the SI in the background of the BK photos but different account. I imagine… £1.6-2k for the SI *shrugs* because it’s a Bally.

The Black Knight photos have the SI in the background, but a different ebay account.

It was me that got it in the end 😎
I asked for extra photos in the back box and under the playfield and it looked good and very original. Will post photos once I’ve got it home 👍🏼

Nice score Dave, I was quite tempted myself. Haverhill is a good location too! ;) Are you collecting this weekend?

Dont have any experience with them but you might be right. Looks like someone cut off the space for inserts and then clear coat dissolved the ovelrlay's print. Only classifies for playfield replacement.

Thanks all, I didn't spot that, would have bid and been sorely disappointed.
 
That's an overlay. You get a slight mismatch so a small ring of wood around the inserts. So looks like permanent marker but the clear coast has reacted with the marker.
You can tap the inserts out but the overlay has the numbers etc on so you will be stuck with is staining. Shame.
 
I was thinking about bidding on it too but this disqualifies it. No chance to make it up to my standards without another playfield.
