A nice modded one (Colour DMD, Fish Tank mod and other stuff) went for £5,300 a few month or so back (was also another nice one which came up just before pinfest and sold there, but can't remember the price)
So, prob between £5.3 and £6k?
A lot of love for TWD around here and was after one myself previously, but have since picked something else up and am now holding out for my fav pin to replace that - GLWS!

That's the one I was referring to (misread the date, so thought it was 2 dif. Machines) - very nice and remember thinking someone got a bargain there

Some mad folk will probably want 3k+ for one these days.. If someone pays it that's the price others will use to value there own + or - based on condition.. if they don't the owner will hold onto it and continue to be deluded on its value until sometime in the future when either a) someone sells a similar/nicer one for a cheaper price b) they are forced to accept the reality of its value and need to reduce the price to fund another purchase or c) the prices continue to rise until it has met their expectation of value. Personally the game is okish, its a bit **** if iam being honest (imho of course) ,I wanted one at some stage because I love the theme and luckily got to play one before searching one out.. Dodged a bullet there I think but iam sure there will be others that genuinely enjoy it (I think?!)

Its one of those games that you either love or hate and they did t make many of them. If it’s the only pin in the collection though, then it might not last long as I agree that it’s ok.
However saying that, I love the theme and the game. I bought one from the forum last year. Granted though, the playfield was fully rebuilt and had loads of stuff done to it during the restoration.

Sadly need to let this go as I’ve got one pinball too many. It’s been fully workshopped with loads of new parts and plays like new. This definitely sits at the frustrating, just one more go, end of the pinball spectrum so if you’re the sort of person who likes to spend half an hour on a single...

Skill posts - Top left? Better to have them? I don’t think it’s been modded at all but apparently in very good condition. Certainly no CDMD.

Big circular hole cut out in the centre of the two flippers and the extra buttons on the cab.

No problem, for me at least it affects the value enough to then have to consider a new playfield and cabinet restoration.Thanks for the info.

I think the valuations above for LOTR are accurate, but need to be careful in regards to skill posts.
There’s no doubt that non skill post is more desirable but I believe only to the tune of maybe £500 in my opinion.
There’s nothing less authentic or factory about skill posts. I actually think they are an interesting, if a little bizarre chapter in UK pinball history.
With everything it’s an individual thing, but maybe changing the playfield and refurbishing the cabinet, in my eyes is at the extreme end.

Got to be at 5.5k+ plus, probably 6k+ Though this was before our economy went down like a lead weight. May dampen peoples appetite.
Still a sort after pin. I know I want one.
It depends on whether you want to put on the funky side rails. They don't fit on a LoTR with skill posts because of the extra buttons.

On skill posts, you can get rid of the extra buttons and use lollipop side rails to hide the cab holes.
Personally I don't think TSPP is worth as much as LOTR. I wouldn't pay more than 4k-4.5k for one.... A low plays HUO one tried to sell on here for 6k some months ago and basically got laughed at.
