Don’t laugh it happens and I’ve even bought pins with my protectors fitted and the anti scratch film has not been removed🤦

Names withheld to protect the not so innocent who are just having a brain farts like me! I have also had many PM/email’s with “you have sent wrong colour” and my reply is always the same “remove the film”
So with all this in mind should know better 😜
 
Gonna have to stop following this thread soon!
Trying to hold on to my OG premium for as long as I can, but seeing all these games arriving is making me want the new one so I can join the Remaster party 🤖

Yeah, plan would be to sell my Donny/OG premium and get the remaster, but agree that for most people the extra £3k needed on top to buy the remake is hard to justify.
I'm a self confessed mega fan of both the band (35+ years) and the game, so would like the remaster. Totally understand why most wouldn't see the value in moving to the new game though.
Have considered swapping for another game (Batman66, Lebowski, Stranger Things, Pulp Fiction, C Canyon come to mind) as a palate cleanser before getting the remaster (i can only have one game at a time), but am leaning towards just going straight to the Remaster.
Would be cool to be trying to challenge others on here for high scores/achievements with insider connenct whilst there's still a good amount of activity too.

Regardless, it's great to see new and old enjoying the game again and it getting the props it deserves 👍🏻
 
As someone who has owned the original, I can totally see the value in upgrading. It feels like a whole new game with the added benefits of new code support and insider achievements to go for.
The sound package is also better with the addition of extra songs.
If I had the money and space I would love to buy the latest version. Until that happens I’m more than happy playing it on location (Funland or Retroids).
 
Played this at Retroids yesterday. Really enjoyed it. I’ve never loved the original. Maybe it was this being fresh out of the box and played tight and responsive. But also liked the clips, wider songs (I was in 1 minute after it opened), and playfield design. Same layout but just felt more fun overall.
 
Metallica Magic pt1

Stripping my MetR today and started on protectors at the rear.
New sparky protector as these always break eventually as I’ve done a few now.
This is slightly different to the original one.

1mm thicker than original and pops with the UV nicely

Next ramps left and right oversized slightly to enhance the look again with the UV

I went blue personally but guess green, orange or yellow maybe a choice.

Finally the rear metal logo just needed a little something to frame it nicely and after a few trials I went for Green.

I cut out the middle to stop any bleed but also tried with solid version, strangely the letters looked ok with the green tinge to them so personal choice.

Next up checking the differences on Slings and Guides from the original.

Just shout if anything of interest.
