Stern Ghostbusters

Two NIB delivered on the same day really is amazing and absolutely worth celebrating! Think you guys with GB must be the first private owners in the world.

I used to be in this position - just recently had a door widened so I wouldn't have to do that anymore and couldn't be happier with the decision. I live in a flat though and a NIB game still won't fit in the door - I do get strange looks when I'm either unboxing or setting up a game in the lobby!
 
I am all up am running, Im new to the hobby, but is seems so fast compared to my other 2 older pins.
Took me 15 mins to unbox and set up and then another 10 mins looking for the power switch !

I had a couple of Sterns before I got my first NIB and I was shocked by the speed of the new game too - don't worry, it'll slow down after a couple of hundred games! If you prefer it fast though just wax it occasionally and it'll stay blindingly fast.
 
If you're new ignore what Stern say about just cleaning it with Novus 2. That's an abrasive cleaner, it's for games which haven't been cleaned for a long time and doesn't function as a wax or add any protection.
 
I like it very much, like the LED lighting, shoot a target which then changes to a different colour which I expect you guys are used to with new Stern games, but first time I have seen this.
I had to change settings to very easy with 5 balls to make any game last longer than 3 minutes :)
Found some rule sheets that have given me some idea what I should be doing.

Storage multiball is awesome and the start is something special. Mass hysteria multiball is also brill when you get to 100 ghosts caught. I won't be reading rule sheets just yet.. I like to find it out myself. Only settings changes I've made are ball save to 12 secs and replays as extra balls ( my normal settings) still on 3 ball

The ball save logic is very smart to code wise, so doesn't frustrate

edit: if you already did this, and i missed through drunkenness, and i mean extreme drunkenness, then i apologise and look forward to some more videos and breakdown
 
A good video would be welcome, where you can actually hear the music/callouts etc. All the vids I've seen so far were taken at very noisy shows.

Jim you've given me pin envy!!!!! I can imagine how giddy you were unboxing it. I'm getting in the car now as I need to collect that component from you this morning, I've got to fit it today no excuses. There's absolutely no connection between your GB arriving and me collecting honest.....:rofl:

Thank you, yes i have tried here to give a full insight into the unboxing and setup of a new game here. I don't want to write a review of it though particularly. The pics and this coming video are my contribution.
