Predator pin project

went for the bulk shipping but don't know how this will work in reality with very different production numbers. I'm assuming it will be quite a slow build process given their limited resources. Oh well, what ever the wait I'm glad I took a punt. Theme wise it's right up my street and in hindsight the price is also a steal compared to other NIBs

there was a survey on Pinside that showed the breakdown by location. Just tried to find it again but with no joy and don't have the strength to wade through all the pages again.

Had a feeling it was around 10 coming over here (pretty sure it's not as high as 20). Wonder how this compares to WOZ?

I'm sure there's 5 or 6 uk lads on the JJP forum. There could be a few more who haven't registered but I imagine its less than 10 in total

To those who have preordered i would expect to have your machines shipped individually. With the huge gaps in production numbers it would be a ball ache waiting for them all to be finished so they could be sent together. Poor old Phil with his #9 slot would be waiting an eternity!

I don't mind waiting. You think they would see sense and build them all together regardless of production number though surely?

I'm sure they'll be able to ship them over for £300 a pop, bulk (unless a container) wouldn't necessarily be much cheaper and there may be issues with paying VAT if they were brought over collectively (may have to be assigned to a single person)

Personally I think the artwork could be better none of em look like the real people (unless that's for copyright reasons)

I like it. If you want it to be photorealistic buy a Stern. I personally think photos on playfields look terrible. This reminds me of the good old days of quality hand drawn artwork

A lot of pins have similar 'drawn' images for copyright reasons, each actor would have to be paid a licence fee for each machine.
I agree that drawn images seem to make better looking machines over time than the stern photo ones.

thats not what i ment ij is painted and you can see its him thoughs on the other hand look abit crudely drawn. Im sure it will look great when painted

Is there anyone on this forum who is not going to go ahead with buying one and would be willing to give up there slot ? If so please get in touch PM me.

If you can find someone they would still have to get it delivered to themselves as its been mentioned (by Kevin from Skit-b) people trying to bypass the waiting list in this way will get nothing and their spot be offered to the next viable person on the waiting list. Not backing out myself but i thought i would let you know.

Ive heard different, as its now time to pay your deposit I thought I would ask the question. Just in case anyone has second thoughts or has decided on spending there money on something else.
Can't blame a man for trying can yer?

I would never blame a pin hunter for anything they do in the name of gaming pleasure. Just thought i would let you know what Kevin mentioned in the very long (2nd) thread over on pinside. Personally, i couldnt give a toss, i just want my machine yesterday. Haha............. Oh, the machine costs $5000 with $250 deposit.

The reason I did not put my name down was I thought nothing would come of it. I have been around to long and seen plenty of things that where going to be made or re made and nothing ever came of it.
Well this is one that looked to good to be true when the first pictures came out so I held off.
Who's sorry now, ME.
Predator is one of my all time fav things and to miss out on this is really going to hurt.
Fingers crossed that someone will pull out but I will never get onto the list any other way. I am to far down the second waiting list to ever get a cat in hell's chance of making it to the main buyers list.
So that's the reason for my post, just hoping that someone has found something else to spend there money on and give me there place on the Predator list.
Fingers Crossed.

Not sure how many people bailed on the first payment - $200 (refundable!) isn't a big psychological barrier. If people had a problem with that then they are probably in the wrong hobby:fear:

I suspect there will be more bailing when the first big installment comes along. How far down the waiting list are you? If you are in the top 20 or so I'd imagine you might have a chance. No 12,853 and you've got zip!

I am way down, not a hope in hell.
Thats why the post.
Still here fingers crossed.
