Pinball Brothers - Queen

Reminded again today that this album art should have been used in the game and more of its songs. Such a wonderful masterpiece!! . Like what stern did with led zeppelin.

Why didn’t PB ask anyone who actually likes Queen???? Nasty generic art everywhere 😫😫😖 I feel like if hw had survived the art package would have been better knowing Queen

That was on my turntable yesterday afternoon Jim @myPinballs .
I got the box set with all the albums on coloured vinyl. Replaced my old collection that had been played to death.
Queen and Rush are two pinballs I will not buy because of the artwork. Rush have an incredible art director who has done all album/box set/promo art since 1975 but he was not asked to do the pinball (Hugh Syme). He was not even approached.
Instead we have the abortion of art that is on Rush - and Pinball Brothers' Queen is worse.
At least Led Zeppelin uses album art externsively on all models.
They could of used a classy graphic like on Greatest hits 2 on the side art. What would be more iconic than the famous still from Bo Rhrap on the backglass.

PB Queen track selection i like.
Some montage aspects on the PF from albums are great.
I just wish they would have done the cab justice.
Not keen on plastic back glasses either.

They have used the Greatest Hits 2 graphic on the cab, albeit tiny. They could have def done better with it.
They manage to nail some killer licenses but execution could be better.

So, got my bday coming up soon and i'm getting a few more remastered queen albums on vinyl. Such a great thing now lots of classic albums are being or have been released on thick weight vinyl. Great way to spend a few hours listening to these!!

I have this coming from my brother to go with my night of the opera album

Yes the game is a real mess!! Custom backglass for certain needed but how bad the playfield art looks remains to be seen! It’s just very lazy…

There is not really any I dislike and do not play. My older sisters were into Queen so I got a good education.

Worst Queen album (but better than any I could make):
Hot Space

The Hot Space concert at Milton Keynes Bowl was my first ever concert, so in some eyes not the best time for Queen. But what an experience!!



Like most Queen fans, there aren't any I don't like, so hard to pick 5, but Night at the Opera is definitely the favourite.

So here goes

This list will change every time I listen to a different album.
Never get bored of Queen though as their music is so diverse.

That’s what’s great about selecting 5 albums as it’s not easy to do is it! Hard to pick and across all the different styles. Great fun

The bowl gig is one of the best ever. I have it on dvd. The fast version of we will rock you is a gem to. A memory to cherish for sure. I wish I was old enough to have gone to that 👍🏻
 
Am I the only one who finds queen a bit, well, naff?

Novelty songs about bikes and how they love their car.

I can listen to one song but a whole album would do my head in.

Growing up they were liked by the same people at school who listened to Genesis (when the bald one was the singer) and Dire Straits.

Maybe it would be different if I’d been a bit older or younger. Similar to having to discover that Rod Stewart and Tina Turner weren’t always the embarrassing cartoons they had become in the mid 80s.

I like them because of the range of classic songs, music styles and albums they made. Not many bands can make 2 greatest hits albums of decent length with such a variety and no filler. All bands end up **** and a shell of themselves though unless they break up early!!

Of course we could discuss why 1 person likes a band and another does not forever. When I was young we had the works album on repeat in the car when we went on holiday!!
 
I have all my parents vinyl from bitd.
This is their Queen offering.
Me, I’m more of a Dire Straits kinda guy but appreciate Queen.
