New members - say hello right here : )

Hi all, I've loved pins since I first played them in the 80's but never owned one but hopefully that will change soon as we've just moved and have more space. I've made it quite clear to the wife that I'm only getting one for our lad. ;) My dream pin at the moment would be a Ltd walking dead, but if I put one of them on my credit card I think I would end up dead.lol so it will probably end up being a Corvette, Apollo 13 or BTTF.

Cheers Rob

Rob, Welcome to the mad world of pinball. I've only got 1 pin at the moment never stop looking for another the only thing stopping me is the money just now.

If your after a Corvette there's one on gumtree just now in Glasgow. He's had it for 13yrs or so, don't know anything about it or him but it looks like he's job is repairing and selling jukeboxes, so I'd think he knows his way around a pin.

But be warned as everyone will say to buy from here due to everyone being like minded and not out to rip someone off.

Hey Rob and welcome to the forum. See if you can get to NLP this weekend in Manchester, there will be machines for sale there.

Dont discount the pro version of Walking Dead either, its a fair whack cheaper than the LE and still an absolute blast to play, loving mine so far

Thanks for the welcome and advice guys, going to come to NLP this sunday with my lad to see whats for sale and hope there's something I can afford ;), love that vid cooldan.lol

Hello! New to the world of pins always been into video arcade machines but definitely got the pin bug after being at Play Expo in Manchester

Welcome aboard, you got your introduction at the very best place possible.

As youre in the Preston area, theres plenty of owners close to you plus Arcade Club isnt far either even after it moves.

Why has no one said it yet ???
Playing pinball is like making love to a beautiful woman..................

You start slow, caressing the buttons, geting a feel for what is instore, the intensity builds as you thrust your hips and get lost in the fast paced action.

Then your balls drain.

Hi, pinball noob here. Finally got a man-cave built (the basement) and just need 1 (or more, still negotiation with she who must be obeyed) pinball machines to go into it; so got an MMR on order from Phil. Hopefully here in mid-January

My primary experience of pinball comes from student days in the 1990's. Lost track of how much money I put into Addam's Family; would probably have just been cheaper to buy one then!

Rob

Welcome to Pinball Info Rob.
Sounds like a Addams Family might be on the cards for your second machine.

Hello all, I'm Andy and im from Oldham. First got into playing pinball in the early 90s in the local pub I remember them having Party Zone, then Whitewater then the getawayII.
Stumbled across some pins on ebay a few years ago and bought a party zone, I held out at 1 pin for about a year then bought a WH2O, started doing that up then saw a beautiful MM and got that too, now theres no more room for pins

Welcome Andy.
Nice collection you have there. When it comes to the issue of room for pins remember that beds are overrated. :D

Hi Andy,
Welcome to the forum, I'm a relatively new member myself..
Great forum this with some good prices on pins that the guys buy and sell from each other at less than stupid inflated fleabay prices.

I'm not technically a new member but i have been lurking around in the shadows not posting anything.
From my surname some of you may twig on that i am in some way related to @carl lawrence for better or for worse i am the eldest son ( 15 ). In some way i can vouch that i may be the youngest member on here which is either a good thing or bad thing but it depends how you take it !
For me personally pinball has been a large part of my upbringing ever since i was 5 years old. Obviously as a young kid back in '05 i was fancinated and excited when my dad brought his first machine 'street fighter 2' and as you know once you have one more will come. There have been a few machines which my dad has owned which i regret him selling : CFTBL and medusa which he brought back from the dead but we now know that medusa went to good homes : @kevlar and @Andrew Stockdale. But the one thing i can say is that without me my dad would never have bought Diner which is never going one step out of the house and @Wesley you are not having it back :rofl:despite the fact @carl lawrence sold you your first machine and as we know it did not last very long and it seems you have kept up that tradition still to this day. :D

Welcome Benjamin.

Medusa is going to get a slow and steady restore over the coming year. I've ordered a set of translucent targets for the Olympus target bank.

Are you going to swap out the playfield in the near future for the CPR reproduction or keeping the original as it is ?
Definitely keeping the original. It only has a couple of small wear spots that I will eventually touch up.
I may totally re-finish the cab though.
