Finally, Pulp Fiction

I got mine setup yesterday.
Had a few amazing games.
Today the ball wouldn't come out the mode saucer and ball search wouldn't kick it out. Had to turn off the game.
Then again. Now the code is all over the place... gone nuts.
How can I check latest code or do a hard reset?

It should show the code version on boot up, also in the menus. Have a look through those and the manual.
 
Two issues today

1. Got two balls in the VUK. It can’t kick em out. Glass off needed.

2. Pop bumpers are not as sensitive as I’d like, adjusted them, but boy the switch contacts are pretty close together already.

I’ve had two balls stuck in the VUK a few times, each time I’ve left the VUK to deal with them on its own, took 5-6 times but eventually it kicked the balls out ok.

Touch wood but so far I haven’t had any issues.

Really loving Pulp so far. Love my modern sterns like Jaws and there deep rule sheets but also really like how pulp keeps it simple, and keeps me coming back for another game.

Pulp Frenzy is amazing!!!

Thanks for waiting 6 days for me to come over and unbox it with you, I wouldn’t have been able to wait that long lol 😂
It’s a very unique game and I love it.
No issues at all with unpacking and setting up and it’s built like a tank.
As soon as the mirror blades went on my scores improved 😂😂😂

Not usually, I don't know of any games that disable pops.
Probably the leaf switches or the spoons are aligned centrally with the skirt

I’d let the game settle down a bit before adjusting anything. Everything is new and fast. If this is the only bounce out you’re getting and the game makes all the other distant shots ok I would think about a small rubber pad to take the speed out of the ball like we’ve had to do on a number of games in the past.
You try reducing flipper power down a bit provided it doesn’t affect the rest of the game and there aren’t any ramps so you don’t need as much power in the flippers compared to ramp based games.
This would also help with the in line drop targets as the first one is quite close to flippers and comes back at you very quickly.
Turning flipper power down is the easiest way to make quick adjustments. Just keep a note of where they are now and what you adjust them to.

Cheers mate . Yeah I saw on pinside people put dead rubber in there and said it worked . I have some but as you said I've decided to play it a while and adjust flipper power before sticking stuff on it . I'll say it again though . They nailed it

They couldn't get worse
 
Hooked on this. Some games are like 60,000 then others are millions. It can be brutal.

Just played my best game 8.8m on ball 1 then only added around 200k from the next 3 balls.

Does it Clock at 10m ? I wondered ?

The score starts shimmering at 10m, saw a couple of people doing it at the UK Open

Yes it’s a bit silly, either divide the scoring by 10 or move to an 8-digit display.

100m (current scoring) feels like the right level for “silly rollover” territory, 10m is difficult but if you give good players enough time they’ll get there
 
How are people installing the mirror blades, screws needed or just peel and stick with the adhesive strips?

I had the same question when I installed my first set, went with adhesive strips and screws.

First time installing mirror blades. No, I haven't got my Pulp Fiction yet, just installed Stern ones.

Do people normally use both screws and 3M tape, or just one or the other? It was a little tricky but I've used both.

After installing the first one I found with the 2nd one it was easier to only remove a small amount of the 3M tape at first. After lining up and screwing to the cabinet I then slowly removed the rest of the tape. If you remove all of it in one go the blade sticks to cabinet making it awkward to get lined up.

Bargain, thanks dude, had a feeling I had seen instructions somewhere, but been so long I forgot :D

I can't even crack 1 million. I have just got my name up as the Dance/Twist Champion though 🕺.
