Finally, Pulp Fiction

I think alot of shipments have come in recently for Pinball Heaven as i have Pulp Fiction LE, Metallica LE, Elton John CE and Texas Chainsaw Massacre CE all arriving next week. Not really sure which one to open first lol. I Will post some pics throughout the week and probably do a new gameroom tour before christmas.
Unboxing party? What a haul 😍

Mate!!! That’s some delivery!

Have you put a playfield protector on your game?
yes to both - After all the pinside posts on playfield condition for me it was a no brainer - Modification needed on protector where magnet is

Magnet burn widely reported / once done raise magnet inline with protector

Also reccomend a set of Plastics from @Colywobbles

The ball will catapult itself from each sling shot across the game and if you have mirrors will put dings in them. Appears the gap between the rubber and the OEM plastic is too great allowing for the ball to push the rubber down and whoosh, off it flies

At present i’ve put the spacer washers ontop of the OEM plastic to reduce the distance whilst awaiting a set and the launching has diminished massively

Also happens right side of Pawn shop

Plastics from ULEK store on pinside are pants fyi…

Planning on a playfield protector for mine too, need to pick up one of those stepped drill bits.
Looking at the pics I'm a little confused what the washers above the plastics are doing, are they protecting the edges, or are they stiffening the plastic and stopping the ball pushing between the plastic and rubber?

What colours are people thinking for Cols plastics? normally go with a colour theme from the game, but feel red or blue would be a bit OTT

Will be clear for me. Strong colours overpower the colours in the plastics. Tried orange in my Lebowski and took them off straight away. Same issue with red on Walking Dead.

Humm, defo don't want to wash out the colours on the plastics, do like the way the exposed edge of the protector almost seems to glow tho, wonder if a light yellow might work? would match the playfield colour on the bottom third

protect the edges , didn’t really need to put them but figured better there than in the drawer

So are you selling these?

Yes, made them for me but it took along time and happy to assist other owners if they wish

Damage below from a USA owner to illustrate what can happen

Ah I see, have you lowered the coil power at all? seems on stream the flipper power is really high, especially for a game with no ramps.
Sorry for all the questions, could ask on Pinside..... but too scared to get shouted at :D

To be fair on PF, I don't think the wear is any worse than old B/W games with unprotected saucers and scoops, metal ball vs wood, the balls gonna win.
But makes sense to protect as much as possible when the game is brand new.

Not yet and about to install Precision bushes as the system is a bit sloppy. Then I can play with the power more accurately
