Danger danger, the WC seller is very well known in the arcade communities and have been in business for probably 20 years (despite changing their company name constantly)

The fact that they are pretending to be newbies with their "it has sounds and lights" description is a massive red flag.

I'll have to re-post the pictures of the RAB I got from them for anyone who has not seen what it looked like when I got it

I know them too. I bought two ridge racers cabs from them years ago. In my case, I got a good deal. One of them died on me, but the helpful folk on JAMMA+ sorted me out and it was up and running in no time.

There is an amusing story about them in which I saw something in their old warehouse that could explain why they move about so much. I'd love to tell it, but its not for a public forum. ;)

Do they keep children in there as slaves?

I put an offer on the WCS, before I saw Luke's warning. Luckily for me I guess it was an automatic decline.

I did wonder why they described it as "it has sounds and lights" as clearly they are amusement/arcade dealers so should know what they are doing and if it is fooked it is fooked

Thanks for the heads up Luke. They're quite local so I might have been tempted by them in the future.

'It has sounds and lights'?

Well so does my **** and a torch but it doesn't mean i'd waste money on it......

Edit: Seems **** is allowed through the profanity filter. nice!!

Bit harsh. Bestofthebunch buys (often) non workers, does them up and relists. He bought a project from me that I listed on ebay after no takers here . I had neither the time or inclination to sort out. He then relisted it when he had sorted it all out. Fair enough, he can do what he wants with it. He clearly knows his way around the solid state stuff. Hats off to him, it was sat at mine dead to the world. At least it is another pin back in the world. His prices may be a bit on the high side but if you dont like it, then dont bid. Simples. Not worth blowing a gasket about ;)

Personally this time i think he was justified...maybe... wasnt this was the same guy involved in the "playfield" incident?? ;) Or am i getting my ebay rogues all confused??

in that case.... not as much of a twat as i thought.... ;) Still a little tho for flipping it when it was (as i remember) working...

I guess Im just getting a little jaded with the 'holier than thou' attitude that seems to be default these days regarding anyone who 'dares' to maybe sell a machine for more than they bought it for. I look forward to the barage of abuse when I list my £200 WH20. Advance warning ...it wont be £200 ;)

£250.... Oh go on then.... You profiteer ;)

I can't speak for every auction or every transaction, but the last time Brian (bestofthebunch) had a machine for sale, that I wanted, I gave him a call, haggled on a price, and I was pretty happy with the machine I got. Granted I know he bought the machine for less than I paid him for it,but I was happy with the deal overall.

I couldn't give a feck or an **** about selling a machine for more than they bought it for and to some everybody is a "twat" but think the point about this guy is that he is a well know flipper and just in it for profit but having a machine for a long time and then selling it for the going rate is only natural.

Surely flipping = selling a machine soon after buying for a higher price.

Buying a machine then doing it up, and selling on for a higher price is not really flipping, but just a business for some?

I've never dealt with either, but think @Paul may be getting "bestofthebunch" mixed up with"happyslapper/rockypins"?
