Ebay Auctions 2014

Is this guy just talking ******** about the colour here? I've never heard this before.
Originally the listing said unfaded artwork but clearly he has had people get in touch and he has now ammended his description. So what do we reckon here?

What a load of rollocks

Limited edition white side art black rose :rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

Also the overall condition of the cab is pretty poor. Apart from the side art being super faded (oh sorry I mean limited edition white) the sides are also heavily worn and with chunks out of them, the lift trim is smashed up, the t-molding is a mess

It's been stored damp for a long time, the legs are very rusty, as are the back box pivots, the ramp flaps are rusty, you can also clearly see rust and corrosion on the metal posts and the ball gates. The rubbers and posts are a mess and its overall dirty.

£1380 in your crack filled dreams

I think the biggest problem here are the blatant lies such as :-

"the artwork is not faded and is bright and vivid" - on what planet?

"The machine is clean, inside and out" - no it's filthy!

"All the posts have been checked for wear" - post wear? is that a real problem? - the post rubbers are certainly not nice

"I have re-rubbered the entire playfield with a new set" - really? well how come the rubbers I can see look sh1te then?

"This machine is in great condition for its age, looks good," - And where does he mention all the rust inside and out?

Big thumbs down to this seller

Woah, either you guys have super keen eyesight or far higher standards than me. Ok so I agree he's being a bit liberal using language like unfaded and fully working but I think he seems legit.

Legs look normal to me. The busted cannon fire button would **** me off so if have to install a standard flipper button instead as a double flip is no choice if you had a ball trapped.

£800 seems very fair to me, but then again I've only played a couple of BRs (outside the TPA app) so I can't tell a good one apart from a bad one. It's a great fun DMD game from Bally in 1992, so that makes it probably worth a grand in 2014 to a great many folk, myself included.

There is a work around ive seen to this problem where u fit a cherry switch and get the button working again

If it sells at the starting price then someone probably got a reasonable deal, but that's presuming they've got the time and skills to polish it up a bit. Personally i'd love a BR and if I could grab one in playable condition for under a grand then i'd probably be happy with that.

But as others have said the way it's been described doesn't give you a huge amount of faith in the seller.

Miss-described is miss-described. Not sure why people are defending the seller.

If someone presses buy it now, then they are going to be upset.

Yes I agree that £700 is probably ok for it in its current state, but if a newbie reads all the sellers bullsnit about the white sides and the condition then they are going to possibly pay way over the odds for it.

I don't know why people can't just be honest on ebay

When honesty makes it harder to sell that's where the bull s*it comes into it.
Just for the record I love Rosie and would say it's a grand pin all day long, plenty fun to be had and great bang for buck.

"Give em a broadside mate"

The problem is not the condition of the game. It is probably a fine players condition game. Nothing wrong with that. The issue is that the seller is just making stuff up. And that is probably enough to make me avoid it as it makes me wonder how factual the rest of the description is.

I can see your point, also downright lie about the cabinet art, totally faded

Does the rusty playfield not bother anyone else? For me it's a big red flag that the game has spent alot of time damp. Who knows that the inside of the cab is like?

You must have better eyesight than me. I can't make out any rust from the pics.

Rust circled in red.

Also note the filthy rubbers, posts and black ball tracks everywhere (considering he said he cleaned and re-rubbered it)

When you are buying remotely, you've got to study the picture like a hawk and look for any tale tale signs. I just don't want any fellow collectors to get stung by miss-described or over priced items

If you are aware of the condition and your bid price is based on the actual condition of the machine then best of luck to you, anything is re-storable at the end of the day, just make sure you get it for a fair price

i still don't see it, apart from the ramp flaps. and e probably did rerubber it, just that was years ago when he bought it

Tbf, the ramp flaps on Woz have marks like that on them and it's been in my house since the day it was unboxed

Well I bought it, will let you know how it is once Martin has delivered ;)
Please do put us all out of misery and post a few pics of the condition when it arrives. It doesn't look too bad to me. Sure looks like there could be a a little surface rust - hard to tell whether it's a sign of anything bad overall.

Stern ramps rust like that in about 6 months in a temp controlled environment, credit to Bally Williams that they look so good regardless of storage, use and age.
